It seems to be the most likely way to get it, at least around here it is. I have some relatives that get it that way and have for years.

I got insurance and food stamps based on my lyme totally disabling me, physically and mentally, and also having no money.

It was easy to get, yet hard to keep. My docs had to write letters and they looked over all my medical records.

I apealed several times. Like with everything, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Its not easy, but you have to be persistent.
