" About 80% of all people suffer and die to become "chronic" disease!"
Maybe it's just me, but is that statement really weird?

That must be hard to do......

sorry, you will have to take the translation factor into account. If you read further, you will probably start to understand. In effect, it means that about 80% of the population end up and die from chronic problems.
Maybe try Babylon or Firefox translator engines.

That is a translation issue... When I read the original German, it says that over 80% of people will suffer and die from chronic disease. If you go on to read the following statements, it lists several diseases that are chronic - dimentia, diabetes, breast cancer, Crohn's, coronary artery disease, etc.
It's a little misleading, IMHO. It skips from undiagnosed illnesses being "chronic" to listing those w/ diagnoses. Also, keep in mind that this is a German website and the German cultural norm for "sick" or "chronically ill" is very different than the American. German medicine and medical system are very different.
