Hi,

Does anyone with Lyme experience a tingling sensation in their mouth, like when they eat something really sour? Or have an unusually watery mouth? Thanks!I am having these symptoms and very worried.

One of my biggest problems is and has always been a burning tingling mouth and sometimes throat. Some of the sensations can be described as a tickle and sometimes like I burnt my whole mouth with a slice of pizza. It causes me to cough incessantly. I was diagnosed with Lyme, Bart and Babs 20 years ago. Was treated for about 3 years and was fine up till about 4 months ago. I have Babs and Lyme back again and am being treated again. The roof of my mouth right now is like I burnt it, it hurts to swallow. It also feels like there are sore all over my mouth. They will go away and pop up for no good reason anytime they feel like it! God Bless. Theresa

I have the opposite problem. I don't seem to produce enough saliva.

I do however have episodic burning in my mouth and on my tongue. I would describe it as Theresa did - it feels like I burned my mouth or tongue with hot pizza.

Yes, too much saliva for me, off and on. My other mouth sensations involve my tongue more than my mouth, tingling tongue, numb, burnt feeling, thick feeling...TS

Yes, the right half of my tongue goes numb, and parts of my face and scalp. It is either pain, tingling, or the burnt your mouth feeling.

I have trouble eating spices like pepper and curry, and with toothpaste and mouthwash.

I do find that I salivate a lot sometimes.

MRI's have always been clear . . . they say not to worry but I still do sometimes.

See, I don't have the tingling really on my tongue or anything, but definitely in the gland...like when you eat something really sour. I have other things going on, like a pain in my ribs when I breathe deeply, tight chest, get out of breath easily, my face looks sunburned sometimes when it's not, and I don't have that much energy. I went to a general doctor's office to have the lyme test and it came back negative. I'm not sure what to do.
