I see my LLMD on Thursday and usually have a sense of what the next steps are. This time I am not sure. I usually have some good questions in regards of next steps of abx.
Here is a quick snapshot. I was undx for 2.5 years and went thru the same old crap that alot of us lymies go thru. Had both joint fatigue, cns issues, acid reflux etc
I was at 30 percent of health and now I am at the 80--85 percent range. Still need to go a bit futher
My treatment included 6 months of homepathic remidies, 2 months of hi-dosage Amox , 4 months of 400 mg doxy, 2 months of 1000 Flagly and 1000 Biaxin, and 2 months of Flagly 1000 and Zithormax 500 and Malorone. 500
I made biggest strides on doxy. My remaining symptoms are stiff neck, headache, head pressure and stomach pain I do not believe I have babs, not sure about Bart. ( tested positive for bart, thur igenex)
My questions
1) Could I actually be ok and my symptoms are a result of the abx ? 2) Is 4 months of Flagly enough ? I am tired of taking Flagly. 3) Should I go back on Doxy and Biaxin in high dosage. 4) Should I try to go off of Abx and see what happens. Scared of this option as I do not think I am fully cured and I do not want a relapse
More information, have abnormal brain spect, normal mri, normal eeg, ekg, normal blood work, cd57 of 145.
any help would be appreaciated.
I do trust my LLMD's judgement, just wanted to come prepared with the correct questions
Thanks
Tony

Those sound like great questions. After being in treatment for 9 months now, I finally have learned to trust my LLMD's judgement. However, if you don't feel like you are well, you should be able to interject that opinion.
If he wants you to go off antibioitics, I don't see the harm in that either. If symptoms come back, then you know for sure that you are not well yet.
Plus I sort of lean toward withdrawing antibiotics at some point so the little spirochetes come back out to play and then zapping them when they are caught off guard. Your LLMD should have an opinion on that though.
What it inevitable boils down to, is how do you feel. That is pretty much what our LLMDs have to go on.

What have you done to treat bart? My doc got rid of my bart with Levaquin.

I forgot to mention that I did 1 month of levequin to treat prostatitis earler this year. I also thought that Doxy and Zithromax attack bart
