Well, I just wanted to post some hope for some folks that are struggling wondering if it will ever get better. It does get beeter.
My symptoms have gone from 50 symptoms down to headache and stiff neck. I am functioning at 85 percent and starting to have some hope. Just one year earlier, I was only at 20 percent of health.
My LLMD took me off of all ABX for now. We want to see if the abx themselves were causing any issues. So far, after 5 days no change. I know it is still too early
We are also experimenting with muscle relaxtants and traction for my neck. I am not sure if the source of my headaches is not related to muscles. After this experiment, I have some intremix to see if my headaches go away.
So I am excited to give my body a break from abx. Who knows it may be permanentaly. That would be sweet!. The no abx experiment is to see if my conditions improve due to the removal of toxic effect/side effect of abx, or muscle relaxants or intermix.
Time will tel
If the bug comes out of cyst format, I will be ready to hit hard with abx. So this break can also be good from that standpoint. It is my hope that we all beat this awful disease.

Good luck with this test period, Tony.
How long were you on antibiotics for? And how long before you began to see your improvements?
I'm on a shorter antibiotic break because of developing an allergic rash: I'm being tested next Friday for sensitivity to my abx [Rifampin, Zithro and Tindamax] and then will be given a desensitising 'vaccine' for when I resume.
10 days after stopping antibiotics, I feel little different and the -low- over-the -eyes headache I've only developed recently is still dominating.
May your better health continue,
Carry

Tony,
Dude...awesome that's all i can say. i like how you have ypur expectations in the right place. if it comes out again you'll slam it...
i'm hoping i'm only a few months behind you so i would really love to see some updates.
Regardless, enjoy a few weeks and hopefully a lifetime of not popping pills.
Happy for you.

This is great news!
Just an fyi, something my LLMD told me about headache and neck ache. He says people with LD have swelling in the brain and even after we are well, the swelling can remain for a good while, up to 2 years. I am sure some will disagree with this, but I find it interesting and something to think about. It could mean that just because you still have the head and neck pain that, that doesn't mean you aren't well.
Good luck! I hope you are on your way to full recovery!

If you start to notice symptoms getting worse again, restart antibiotics asap. I know this might seem obvious, but some might think they should wait until their next Drs appt, and in the process, get even worse.
I know this from personal experience. Posted by tonyp (Member # 14960) on :
Feb 24th Update
Well, it has been 12 days off of ABX and I am feeling the same to slightly better. At the end, I was feeling very toxic.
My remaining symptoms are headaches, stiff neck and head pressure ( mild now, can be extreme) What my LLMD wanted to do is to see if the headaches went away thru the elimination of abx and or treatment of my neck (massage)
I even purchased a cervical traction device which I will start on Wednesday
It is a nice break from abx. I am not sure if I will relapse, but I am enjoying my break.
I am seeing my naturpath on Wednesday to work on suppportive treatments and ways to boost the immune system

Congratulations!!!
I hope you can put this disease behind you for good.
A real good idea, building up the immune system. Take plenty of Mg and probiotics since the most of the immune system resides in the gut.
