New symptom just started last week...

My heart feels like it's pounding away in my chest. The rhythm is normal and the rate is the same as it's always been. Also, except for 2 very short (like 5 minutes) episodes back when it first started up I don't have any pain.

What is it? Babs?

I went off abx for a month and about 3 1/2 weeks in it started up. I'm back on now for a week, but it's still buggin me.

Any ideas?

Hi CT,

I have this all the time in addition to tachycardia. The pounding keeps me awake at night.

I have no idea of it is Bart, Babs, or Lyme and I would love to know about this too.

I have this quite a lot too. It's something I need to ask my LLMD about this week.

Try adding in some more magnesium and see if that helps.

Please call your LLMD and let them know.

Hugs,

Geneal

Hi Tri,

One of my family members has episodes of a pounding heart. You can actually see his heart beating through his shirt. This was blown off by the cardiologist, but our LLMD said it's a symptom of Lyme. He didn't specifically mention any coinfection, nor specifically say it's only due to Lyme. My family member also has Raynaud's syndrome and has periodic episodes of stabbing chest pain.

The pounding heart and the stabbing pains have subsided with treatment.

I recently developed this symptom after beginning Rifampin.

My pounding heart would wake me up in the middle of the night.

I assumed it was bart being stirred up. I took a break from Rifampin and the pounding heart went away.

Thanks all for the feedback. I'll bounce it off my LLMD later this week.
