The shortness of breath still lingering. Sometimes I can get a little let-up but not much.
I'm also this morning feeling tightness/almost pain in my chest, shakiness, visual disturbacnes, pounding in my chest, almost panicky feeling.
And the weirdest thing I'm feeling right now is it feels like someone is pouring cold water into my chest cavity.
At times it even feels like someone is pouring cold water into my ears and it's draining down into my chest.
My hands are so cold too today (that's nothing really odd for me though).
Oh, what's wrong with me? And is this all going to magically disappear when I set foot into the LLMD's office on Friday? Posted by map1131 (Member # 2022) on :
Star, sorry you are so frightened about your current sx. I'm sorry I can't add anything to make you feel better. I haven't experienced what you are describing.
I'm sure someone will come along that can add some advice to what is happening. I know that something can really be scarey. You hate to call doc, go to ER or call for family/friend help everytime some weird thing happens.
It's just so bizarre sometimes. Could you have picked up flu virus or something that causing additional sx? Can you relate you sx to abx herx?
Full moon is tomorrow? Are you one effected by it?

i had them over the weekend with fatigue and kept thinking about going to the hosp
so far i didn't ...they have resolved some what
i have had many workups saying my heart is ok-but this was different enough for me to pay attenetion
the site i found said womens signs are different than men's -very subtle-often not bad pain-

The NIH study, titled "Women's Early Warning Symptoms of AMI," is one of the first to investigate women's experience with heart attacks, and how this experience differs from men's. Recognition of symptoms that provide an early indication of heart attack, either imminently or in the near future, is critical to forestalling or preventing the disease.
In a NIH press release, Jean McSweeney, PhD, RN, Principal Investigator of the study at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, said, "Symptoms such as indigestion, sleep disturbances, or weakness in the arms, which many of us experience on a daily basis, were recognized by many women in the study as warning signals for AMI. Because there was considerable variability in the frequency and severity of symptoms," she added, "we need to know at what point these symptoms help us predict a cardiac event."
Women's symptoms not as predictable According to Patricia A.Grady, PhD, RN, Director of the NINR, "Increasingly, it is evident that women's symptoms are not as predictable as men's. This study offers hope that both women and clinicians will realize the wide range of symptoms that can indicate heart attack. It is important not to miss the earliest possible opportunity to prevent or ease AMI, which is the number one cause of death in both women and men."
The women's major symptoms prior to their heart attack included:[/br]
Unusual fatigue - 70%
Sleep disturbance - 48%
Shortness of breath - 42%
Indigestion - 39%

lpkayak--Thanks for the post. I have seen that before. in fact, that's why I went to the ER the other 2 times I was like this.
They found nothing, even though I was hooked up to an EKG in the middle of one of these episodes.
map--I'm not on abx, not even officially diagnosed yet. i see an LLMD for the first time this coming Friday.
My boys are both sick with fever and cough--I keep hoping to come down with that and get rid of this.
I did see the chiropractor today. She said the vertebrae associated with the heart and lungs are really subluxated today (i.e., messed up), so she manipulated them. Ouch, that hurt!
It hasn't been quite as intense since then, but it's still bad.
I just hope I feel this bad at the LLMD, so he can see what I go through.

I had this really bad prior to diagnosis and beginning treatment.
I ended in the ER too.
Normal oxygenation, normal EKG, normal everything.
ER duck said Must be a Panic Disorder.
I swear I felt that if I closed my mouth, I would die.
Xanax did help.....a little.
However, I couldn't take it during the day.
I had two small children.
Seeing a LLMD and beginning real treatment made those symptoms mostly go away.
If you are worried, please go to the ER.
Your life isn't worth gambling with.

Yes, just yesterday a woman described her heart attack to me as if someone was pouring cement into her chest.
