For a while now, my hands have looked red, especially around the knuckles and joints. Sometimes the skin on my entire hand will look red. When you press on it, it will leave a white mark. My palms look normal and I have no pain associated with this. It is not sunburn and I am not on any ABX.
After a hot bath, this seems to be worse and also the tops of my feet get really red. My feet are always cold and usually my hands are as well.
Anyone else get this?

yes, I have had this for about 7 yrs. As I am clearing out the infections in my small intestine, this is calming down a great deal. What kind of tx are you doing?

BLUE!! YES! YES! So do/did I! Did you test + on your 18 & 93 Blot bands, & were you told it "looks like a neurological Lyme"? Are you dealing with fuzzy/numb hands & lower arms when waking? What state R U in?
I've been dealing with this for 3 1/2 f*** years. I've been told it's immune sysytem response & it can serve as a visual indicator of how much herxing is going on.

According to wrong diagnosis.com under "Bartonella infection symptoms" redness is a symptom. The Bartonella infection symptom list is quite long.
I have the same symptoms. Reddish, orange skin-tone and when I press on it it turns white, and then slowly goes back to red.
When I get out of the shower I am purple.
Not attractive!!!

Yes! Just happened for the first time Tuesdays red circles around my knuckles it was so weird. I just kept staring at it thinking Hmmm, wondering if that's the Lyme coming out of hiding.

Thanks guys. I was starting to think I was losing my mind over this. My fianc� has Lyme too and his knuckles are often red but my entire hand will be red excluding my palm which is normal. It almost looks like a sunburn when it is bad.
So far, my Bart tests have been negative but I was tested at Quest for Bart. Go figure. I was Igenex positive for Lyme and Babs Microti.
glm1111- What are you doing to clear out your intestinal infections? I am having digestive and GI issues as well. I am treating with Mepron but I am off of it right now.
'Kete-tracker - I did not have those bands positive on my WB. My fingers will sometimes feel itchy or look swollen when I wake but it goes away quickly. I am in PA.
unsure445 - You sounds a lot like me. After I shower, it is the worst and takes hours to go away. If you press on it, it will be white. If I run my hands under cold water, they will also turn white.

My daughter has this redness, and her new lyme neurologist told us that she has raynaud's. If your nails get a blueish color then this could be it. He noticed it especially on her feet. Told us to get boot warmers to help her because she is not walking right now. It does go away, but sometimes it is worse than others. It will turn white when pressed on, looks purple sometimes. Don't know if this could be what you have, just thought I would share.

I am on the salt/c (sea salt) protocol and have been for almost 3yrs. Sea salt is a natural broad spectrum antibiotic. A lot of us are salt deficient.
Sea salt also contains a lot of minerals and supports the adrenal glands. Not advised if your are salt sensitive or if you are diabetic.
This is what came pouring out of me. Burgdorfer found Filarial worms in the ticks and as an aside found spirochetes. Parasites and worms play a MAJOR part in lyme disease. If you need more info let me know.

Kete tracker, I have what you describe. I have red palms that get worse after a hot shower and I wake up with numb hands and feet often (this is better then it used to be). It was once so bad that I had to constantly 24/7 move my arms and legs to keep them from falling asleep.
I have not done the Igenix test yet but, I can tell you that I believe I got bit by ticks from NH. I live in Arizona but, had a dog when I was a kid that was covered in ticks all the time, the dog was chroniclly sick and surprize...he came from NH!
So, maybe these symptoms that I've described are a NH tick thing?

Could be, Piegirl. I know it flared as I was getting much better on hi-level amoxy & proben. Reddened knuckles even in the late afternoon Then!
But even though I've made great progress & have my energy levels back (allowing me to exercise twice a week), this 'red knuckles in the morning' thing is never-ending. I can even predict how red they'll be based on how fuzzy my hands are when I wake.
If it's a unique NH strain, I claim patent rights everyone! (Now I just have to figure out a way to profit from it. )

Ok, I am freaking out!!!
My husband and I have this crazy redness. Mine started out about a month before his. At first, my knuckles looked sunburnt. And, they did burn. Now that it has been there for a month, my knuckles and backhand look like a red and white speckled egg. THEY BURN WORSE WHEN THEY I GET OUT OF THE SHOWER!!!
My husband is still in the red burnt stage, he has only had this for 3 days now and his burns right out of the shower too!!
We both found out we have Lyme. I know I have a co-infection of Ehrlichia. But, they didn't run co-infections on him.
I was on Doxy and Amox when I started getting this rash. I started treatment in Nov. 08. I changed meds last week, on doxy and biaxin.
He was on doxy for one month. Now on Doxy and Biaxin.
I can't even narrow this down to a medication rash because my meds didn't change at the time I got my burnt knuckles and backhand........
How crazy if we could tell that our body was moving through the lyme in stages, or that it was actually strong enough to be fighting a virus right now......
Neither of us is from NH....

I was negetive for Bart and Babs, but positive for Ehrlichia. Maybe it is from the Lyme. Or maybe it is indicative of a herx....
I hate it because I am afraid for anyone to see it for they may think I have the cooties!!
