I have been in treatment for about 9 months now. Didn't have a herx on first drug, Bactrim nor when we added doxy.
I was doing well, we were going to stop drugs, then symptoms returned.
Started Biaxin and a day later symptoms got worse, day after that I hurt horribly all over.
So I guess this is it, a herx. The bad pain seems to come a certain times in the day, is this typical?
It's been four days, any ideas when it will be over? And will I have this each month? And I imagine when I increase the Biaxin it will happen again, right? Worse you think??

Hi, Yes, It does come at certain times throughout the day for me. I can have maybe a couple good hours throughout the day at random times then crash.
I felt like I was hit my a truck! Plus the abdominal pain, chest pain and nausea as well. I called my LLMD in tears and they said I could take 3 days off every 3-4 weeks.
Took the 3 days off and have like a million bucks compared to how I felt before. I have to take my first dose back tonight and I'm dreading it!
I just started this will be my 3rd week so not sure about the answers to your other questions. It is bad but I have heard it does get easier. I sure hope so!

My herxes almost always lasted about 5 days...i charted everything so i can say that for sure..i would then get 11-14 good days and then 5 of herxing...that pattern was steady the first four months..not anymore though..nw i am juts blah 24-7...better but not well.

I am just glad that my doctor no longer wants me to increase the dosage of biaxin after 5 days on. I am to wait until I feel better. And
Lymestop thanks for your heads up...I may just take a half when I up the dosage.
Anti-allergy meds help with the body pain?? Do I understand this right? Seems odd.
So far the pain doesn't last as long when it hits me, so maybe it is getting better.
