Just received my 1 ounce tube of Venex from Dancing Bee Acres.
Going to try this on hubby's feet tonight. I had some of Farrah's Lyme Essence Oil left over and seem to have chaced some pathogen from hubby's spinal column into his feet. The Lyme Oil hasn't helped any with the foot pain which is a new symptom for hubby.
My question is for those who use the bee venom ointment regularly. How long does a tube last you? I read the instructions and realize you don't use much, but it is a pretty small tube.

Bea, I still have my first tube. I used much less than the directions suggested. I used a blob smaller than a pea (or 1/4") a day. But everybody is different!
It did give me headaches the first week, then they went away.
I don't use it much now, but bring it up if I have a little lyme flair from lack of sleep or too much stress.
(That with LYM and teasel root has chased it back into submission a couple of times.)

Dear Bea,
The instructions I got with mine said to use a rather large amount--a half an inch or more squeezed out of the tube.
Being cautious, I used just a very small amount. I still had reactions, heat in the area, and systemic effects.
I got three tubes, and am sure I'll never use them all!!!
My advice is to go very slow--maybe not even every day--until you see what reactions you get.

Say THAT 3 times fast!
I have a friend that is currently using some sort of product on their feet that they think it great... and they have tried everything over the years.
I will check and see tomorrow if I can get the name of it for you.
It is OTC and not that expensive from what I understand.... and takes care of some really nasty pain.
PS... Would I sound too dumb asking why you all are using bee venom on your feet?
What is the reasoning, or purpose behind it?
Very curious.

Bee Venom Ointment (Apis Venenum Purum) 30g
Anti-inflammatory preparation containing honey bee venom (Apis Venenum Purum), pure natural oils in water-soluble (non-greasy) base.
Indications in literature of bee venom include chronic neuritis, degenerative or thropathy, functional disturbance of muscles, ligaments and tendinous insertions, lumbago, muscle warming prior to and during sport activities, myalgia, neuralgia, peripheral circulatory disturbances, sciatica, subchronic and chronic polyarthritis and sport injuries.
Do not use this product, if allergic to bee stings as it could result in a very severe reaction, even death. Keep out of reach of children. This product and the statements made about this product have not been evaluated by the FDA.

I also want to mention that bee venom should not be used if you take a beta blocker. Some of us take beta blockers for our dysautonomia.
I got my ointment and bee venom for shots in the mail yesterday and it states not to use either product it if you are on beta blockers. After further research it appears that beta blockers will render treatments for anaphylaxis ineffective.

Bea, I've used large amounts of the cream, because I've applied it all over. That's not the way I'd recommend you start. I'd just try a little, maybe 1/2-1 inch of cream on the most painful area. Watch for symptoms of a herx. You can increase the dose as tolerated and as needed.
