Flagyl is one of the roughest drugs for Lyme. What is your dosage?

Flagyl hit me like a fast moving train. I would take it and within 4 hours.....WHAM!

What else are you on? Minocycline makes me dizzy but not sure if Flagyl did.

Tunnel vision!!! Sounds like you're herxing off the Flagyl. Check with your LLMD about stopping taking it. You might just need a day or so to clear it.

What abx are you on? Anything new? Mino or Zith? Biaxin ?

But, like others, flagyl has also hit me like a bus (but not so much with vertigo, more nausea). You may not need to stop it but you might be able to slow down.

AND - if your liver support is adjusted it might help. Be sure you are drinking enough water and still eating well to keep your blood sugar even. If you don't eat regularly (as often happens when drugs make us woozy), a drop in blood sugar can result in vertigo. (Or if you eat any quick sugary snacks, the sharp rise and drops will send you on a roller coaster, too.)

* B-6 and NAC are reported to help with some of the vertigo-related effects from some drugs.

* When you rest, lie with your head and upper torso elevated at a 20-30 degree angle. That is the best position for the inner ear.

* GINGER capsules, ginger tea - or even a 1/2 tsp. of ginger from your cooking spices in hot water for tea - often helps calm vertigo and the accompanying nausea.

I hope you feel better and that your LLMD's office can offer you some helpful hints.

You must have a bad case of yeast. Modify your diet to lessen the herx.

Please be careful w/ Diflucan, it is a Cytochrome P450 inhibitor, so it can interact with other medications that detox through the P450 pathway.

My daughter had a severe reaction between Diflucan and her seizure medication, ending up in the ICU.

The morning of the incident, she started seeing things very blurry and feeling dizzy, she described it as "looking through cellophane".

This is not to scare you, but just be aware of the interactions that can occur w/ Diflucan.

If you are having trouble breathing, go to the ER.

God bless.
