I have a lot of symptoms of Bartonella but was recently tested through Quest diagnostics and it came back Negative.
I was wondering how accurate the Bartonella testing is? Thanks so much!

Unfortunately, testing for co-infections is just as notoriously inaccurate as it is for Lyme. Your treating physician should always base your protocol on your current clinical picture: symptoms, response to meds, and sometimes...test confirmation.
Personally, it took four tries, for my bloodwork to finally show a positive for Bart H.

No, those tests aren't reliable----there is so much strain variability, etc. If you have symptoms of bart, treat the bart.
Even if you tested positive it would probably only show past infection (a positive IGg). Plus, we all know those giant labs are less than accurate.

Unfortnuately they are not reliable.. I was lucky with Quest both strands came back positive.
Its like any test that deals with Lyme, its hit or miss.....
