Hi , I am new to this whole thing , i have been sick for the past three months .

I have been to the ER three times had EKG all three times was picked up by ambulance from my home because i thought i was having a heart attack .

My bones all over my body crack all the time ! i am dizzy ( almost feel drunk ) most of the time .

I keep a sinus infection , I have been tested for lupus arthritis , any thing you can think of every thing was neg.

i was recently diagnoised as hypoglycemic . I have so many symptoms i cant even list them . But it does match up with lyme my DR is really nice and concerned i remember getting bit by a tick last summer on my hip , i had a red rash show up but it was not a bulls eye but it was pretty big and took a while to go away there was a black do it the middle of the bite ( that i thought was just a scab )

my dr did a western blot and it came back neg . but i did have a positive 41IgG band .

My dr admitted she has no clue about lyme and she is trying to help she has me on 1750mg of amox a day i was on doxy but it made me really sick .

i have to small children and a husband in the military so i need to be able to take care of my kids on my own .

I just want to get better . Could the 41 IgG band mean anything at all ?

Welcome lymesc!

It sounds as if you need to make an appointment with a LLMD. (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor)

If you will send me a PM, I will give you the name of an excellent LLMD in your state. (to send a PM just click on the middle envelope icon above this post)

welcome sc!

sorry, i/other neuro lyme patients are NOT able to read or comprehend solid, long blocks of text. please edit it showing SHORT paragraphs and doublespacing between each one ok; then we'll be able to read and help you ok. see below for guidelines.

Welcome; i'm so glad you found us!! You've come to the right place for education and support!

***************

please go to my newbie links, copy the entire thing, and then print this off....FINANCIAL BURDENS compiled by melanie reber
print off pages 74 - 92; outstanding info there. i believe there are a few more general comments there without links!! print that off too as it's newer info from members thru their own personal, tragic experiences.

Betty's suggested POSTING GUIDELINES . many of us have neuro lyme where we can NOT read long solid block text and be able to comprehend and read it as is.

please edit your post by CLICKING PAPER/PENCIL ICON to right of your name. that opens up BOTH subject line and body text.

now please break up your WORDY SENTENCES into one sentence paragraphs. Then hit ENTER KEY ``TWICE`` after each paragraph; we need that space for comprehension.

then go to left hand corner and mark box to receive ALL REPLIES, and click EDIT SEND

we thank you for helping us; [Wink] otherwise, we will SOB, SCROLL ON BY, since we can't read to help you. If I see posts like this, I SOB them; to hard on me.

People seeking doctors might be able to get help from their state online information and support group. Nearly 3,400 people belong to state groups. Some of the groups are small but more than 20 of them have 50 or more people and seven have over 100.

To find your state group, go to
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme

Type your state name and lyme as one word, like this -
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/newyorklyme

South Carolina is the only state that needs a hyphen between the statename
and lyme, e.g. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/southcarolina-lyme

The groups are moderated and you have to apply. Most don't allow doctor names, but once on the group, you can ask for doctors in a certain area and ask people to email you privately.

Does any one know of a way to help with dizzyness .

It gets worse when I am taking antibiotics.

Not to mention the relentless sinus infections !!

I just cant get over a sinus infection without another comming right back .

my ears burn and they stay full of fluid .

Ill echo what most of the regular will probably say... find a LLMD in your area, get an apptmt, and start proper treatment.

If you had a tick bite, had a rash, and now have all the symptoms of lyme, it sure sounds like lyme.

The #41 band is the usually the first one to show up for lyme. Odds are that if you were tested again it may show up with more bands. But realize that most lyme tests arent very accurate, especially some of the HMO elisa a/b lyme tests. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, therefore you need to see a dr who recognizes it and determine if you have it.

If you're on antibiotics, and feeling worse, that again is likely another sign of lyme as you're probably killing some of it, its releasing its toxins, and thats why you feel crummy. Thats a herx (herxheimer reaction). If you start feeling better afterards, thats a good sign.

But you really need to see a qualified LLMD, to get not only proper abx, but also supplements for whatever other deficiencies you may have in your body, most notably, Magnesium.

Good luck, and welcome aboard... unfortunately...

The dizziness gets worse on antibiotics because you are herxing. That is the reaction from the bacteria being killed off. They throw off toxins as they die.

YOur rash is diagnostic of lyme... even though it wasn't circular. See "treepatrol's links" above for pictures of rashes. There are many varieties. ( 8th topic in Medical )

And yes, band 41 is important. Go to the 5th topic in Medical questions and read DR C's Western Blot Explanation.

Also.. your WB came back negative because the lab your dr used does not test for ALL the possible bands. Please ask your dr to test you thru Igenex Lab. www.igenex.com

You can order the test kit for free... you send in the money when you send in the blood sample. It costs around $200 for tests #188 and 189.

welcome!!!!!
