For those of you have Bartonella, or know anyone who does, did your/their scratch-resembling marks ever completely go away with treatment? Mine are very prominent and I get a bit embarrassed when people see them.

No...

Mine flare up, then go away..then return.

Its been never ending with these rashes....

Mine are normally located on my inner bicep and on my thighs.

Good Luck!

I had these but I think they were from my old days of working out.

I hope mine go away. My back is a mess. Right now my face is clear and so are my arms, but they can get pretty awful.

I'd like to know if it will ever completely go away too.

What is everyone treating Bart with?

The stretch marks also may be caused by the "mystery bug". The one in Fry smears or Clongen.

I haven't started abx yet as my LLMD said my immune system needs to be bolstered up with supplements first. He will start me on abx mid-April, but I don't know which ones.

I had my husband take some amazing pictures of the Bartonella on my back. He took them on Saturday, and I would love to post them, but I have no idea how to do it.

Do stretch marks come and go? Sometimes I have them, sometimes I don't. I almost always have the rash, though.

Sometimes it looks like I have scratched myself with my fingernails, but that's impossible. I could never reach those places on my back, even if I wanted to.

My husband's bart marks did not go away with tx, but he had the marks for about 20 years, prior to dx and tx, and some are pretty, well, they look like gouges into his flesh.

He thought they were from working out when he was a teen. But I can't for the life of me (nor can our doc!) believe that a person can get marks like this, behind his arms, horizontal accross the back, and on his sides, from the (minimal!) weight lifting he did as a teen.

Not to mention the pos bart and lyme tests.

Perhaps if the marks weren't so deep/old, there would be hope, but the doc says for him that the worst marks are not going to heal.

Hopefully yours aren't as bad.
