Ok Doctor tested me for yeast overgrowth by holding my arm, and hitting points to see how weak my arm got...

He said something about acupuncture...

Is this accurate? I wanted him to test my blood but he said I did not have an overgrowth due to the result, which was my hand not getting weak...

This is called a few different things but it is energetic testing and it can have surprisingly good results for some things, disappointing results for others.

I assume the doctor also asked many questions about your G.I. function, and looked at your finger nails and inside your mouth.

I don't think a blood test for candida is all that good, either, or necessary.

Bottom line is that if you have symptoms of candida . . . or even if you don't but take any antibiotics - or even anti-microbial herbs - you need to be on anti-candida support and diet. It is simply required as part of every lyme treatment protocol. Every one. Always.

And it's a whole lot easier to stay on top of prevention than having to treat it. Fungal infections can be very persistent and cause many of the same symptoms as lyme itself with pain, fatigue and brain fog.

Acupuncture can help your body become stronger to fight all sorts of fungal infections as well as the infections from lyme or other TBD (tick-borne diseases or infections). Acupuncture, alone, is not enough to either prevent or treat candida.

If you have signs of a yeast infection, that support will take more assertive measures. I find Olive Leaf Extract to the best thing in preventing candida, in my experience. Allicin, too, is a huge help.

Nexium will do nothing for candida. It will help with pain.

Oh, that muscle testing (energetic testing) is also referred to as ART. I don't know what that stands for.

Yes, I have an MD turned alternative who does this. My uncle is a Chiropractor and also does this.

Last fall, my uncle tested me for adrenals and they were very weak, I was so anxious I would jump at everything and couldn't sit down due to the constant flood of adrenaline. It was awful.

I asked my uncle to test me after not having seen him since then. He did so and looked at me surprised. Said my adrenals tested very good. I feel much better anxiety-wise I said.

My alternative MD did the same thing 2 weeks ago. he was astonished at how much better my adrenals were. And indeed, during the appointment I had no desire to run out of the room in shear panic. I actually conversed like a human being.

My uncle tested me for the Doxy fully prepared that since it's a drug, I would test bad for it.

He was shocked that my arm 'locked' with the Doxy in my hand. He said my body wanted it and to definitely take it like LLMD had prescribed.

So I know there are naysayers. But I fully believe in this. Actually I am going to alternative MD tomorrow and want to ask him about yeast issues. Going to ask him to test me electrodermally for Babs again and Bart/micoplasmas if he can. He's an MD, so he can write a script too. But not an LLMD. I'm going to try to make him into one =)

I told him about UOS and he would very much like to see it, so I'm bringing it tomorrow for him!

take care,
Ocean

What you really need to do is be on the low carb no sugar diet. ... because EVENTUALLY, you WILL have yeast if you're not following the diet.

Are you on Nystatin or anything as a preventive??
