Anyone experience this?

I've been on IV Rocephin for two months. The first month I felt myself improving. Then I had a herx, and ever since then I just can't beat the exhaustion.

Except for maybe 3-4 days out of the second month, I have not been able to get out of bed. I sleep all the time. I have heard a couple of people on Lyme Chat say they were very tired with the IV Rocephin.

I just don't know what is causing this severe fatigue for this long. I thought I would keep getting better.

I also started about a month or so ago on Armour Thyroid and Cortef, even more reason to think I'd have more energy. Instead, I am like a slug who sleeps all the time.

I appreciate any input...I take tons of supplements, can't figure out why this is happening and when it will end!

I am on SSDI now but still need to work part time to make ends meet, and have not been able to do that in four months now. I have to get back to a few hours a week but I just can't do it because I can't move out of the bed!!!

Tracy,

I've got to think that is a good sign, that you are killing off the residual Bb in places that treatment had not reached before.

Also, mepron made me totally lethargic and unable to get up and get going. I had to stop it early because I have to work.

Adding that to zith and rocephin, you've got effective treatment that just can't help making anyone tired.

So the good news is that when you end some of these components, you'll feel much better than before!

Take care and hope you feel better.

I am the herxing queen. I have long herxes and I am herxing most the time. Fatigue is always one of the symptoms that gets worse when i herx no matter what i am taking.

The other thing that has caused fatigue for me is yeast. Sometimes I have had no visible signs of yeast but had it and it increased my fatigue.
Do you think you could have yeast?

I know you are taking a gazillion supplements and you listed but i cant remember if u are taking any bs. Have you had your b vitamins checked? I know if i stopped taking my bs (and probaly my amino acids too) i would be much more tired.

I know fatigue is no fun. I hope you find a way to lower your fatigue level. [group hug]

I take Diflucan and don't appear to have a yeast problem. I tested negative for any gluten intolerance. I take B-12 among my supplements. My B vitamin level is at the very high end of the range.

I start IV Glutathione tomorrow. I hope that helps. My LLD said she is willing to give me B-12 shots too.

Hi Tracy, I just wanted to say I have been on IV cef. for two months too! However my dr. just pulled me off for a week due to horrid increase in symptoms. (Mine is mostly pain and "toxic blood" feeling, though, not so much fatigue.) Hope you feel some energy soon.

Sorry you are feeling so tired Tracy. I know tired doesn't really describe it.

I was on IM ceftriaxone for about 4 months and my experience was similar even though it was IM instead of IV.

I felt a little better the first few months and even had better stamina and then the fatigue got really bad along with depression and malaise.

I'm always fatigued but this was so much worse than usual. My doc and I speculated that we were hitting brain bugs. I don't detox very well so I figure it probably took me a few months to fill up with toxins and then the symptoms came on strong after that.

You have had a ton of stress lately. I'm sure that didn't help your level of fatigue either.:-(

I'll be starting IV in a few months if we can swing it. I'm really worried about the fatigue and how I'll manage if it doesn't go away after a few months.

After I was off IM I found that Noni Juice helped my fatigue quite a bit. I took it for about a month. Now I'm off it and I seem to still be less fatigued than I was the last few months on IM. Hopefully noni will help if I need it while on IV.
I used Trace Minerals Noni Juice. I have no relationship with the product.

I have no idea if noni would work for you. I found it with muscle testing. Each person is different.

Hope you feel better very soon,
Terry

I am 2 months own on the IV. I got rid of my fatigue before Christmas with levaquin. I do find I have a little less energy of course but that to be expected looking at the amount of drugs I am on.

I started getting a sharp increase in neck pain and head buzzing/inflammation. I think I am herxing the whole time now. My major problems are my eyes and CNS which seem to be constantly inflammed.

My LLMD said to hang in there and I should hopefully come good. He has hinted at posibly doing 8 months due to the severity of my neuro involvement.

Having said all of that. I am really glad to have gotten rid of the chronic sleepyness. Its a terrible thing to have to deal with.

I run 4 miles every evening. So strange how different everyones symptoms are.

If I could get rid of the brainand eye inflammation I would be about 90%.

Glutathione and B12 should help quite a bit.

Take care

I slept for about 20 hours a day while on IV Rocephin but in the end it was worth it! I'd do it all over again (and very well may).

Best of luck to you!
