Hi,
I've started taking my temp again. I checked it 2 weeks ago and I had a fever and since then have gone 2-3 days without having one. It's not high, like 99ish.

This happened in the past a lot too. I would go to a dr for a work physical only to be told that, "do you feel OK? Because you have a fever."

The fatigue and cognitive stuff (severe brain fog) has been hitting me hard lately too.

any ideas? Oh, and I tested neg for all co's from igenex. Dr. H told me he still thought I probably had bartonella though.

Thanks,

Ocean

Just a guess, Ocean, that it is your immune system's weak attempt to attack a particular infection.

Hi Ocean, I was just speaking to my husband about this.

I have been keeping track trying to find a pattern if there is any, with getting these low grade fevers too.

I am having the same symptoms as you. My fevers are 99ish but they are coming every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks and lasting for a few days.

This has been happening since I started taking valtrex for my Epstien Barr. So I'm wondering if that can be it. My EB is very high.

Just about the whole summer I ran a slight fever. That is when I started Valtex.

But with so many issues going on inside it's so hard to figure out.

You would think that my EB would be more under control by now. So is it the lyme or co infections? I also tested neg for co infections.

Hi Dekator,

Yes, I think it's probably a good thing, at least my body is trying, right?!

Hi Kirsten,

I do have EBV. I had mono around the time I got really sick. I had blood drawn for EBV, but didn't have titers. He had the IgM and IgG. My IgG was positive and IgM was negative.

So I assume it is not a current infection? Or is my body still working on it?

I noticed my fevers right around the time I got very sore legs and feet mid month (I always get that at the end of the month).

Ugh, you are right, it's probably impossible to tell.

Thanks for your replies!

Ocean

I have ran a low grade fever now for about 4 years-they have been documented over 150 times, and no explanation!

I have noticed that since starting treatment I have been running low grade fevers almost every month.

Prior to treatment it wasn't as prevalent. I had lyme for 29 yrs before being treated and my symptoms were there but not this strong.

I would love to figure this out.
