Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had the Igenex tissue PCR biopsy from an endoscopy? I am having one next week and would have this done if it is more accurate then the blood tests which I have had. I still need a diagnosis. My blood results were not definitive. My symptoms indicate possible Lyme but my Dr. is not considering it. Thanks for advice, Jessielee

So you don't have an LLMD? Lyme is a clinical diagnosis. Testing just helps them decide, along with your SYMPTOMS.
I haven't had a biopsy done. Contact www.igenex.com for more information..... and hopefully, someone here has had one!!

We sent the upper endoscopic biopsies to MDL of NJ as recommended by THE LL pediatric gastroenterologist.
The biopsies came back positive for Mycoplasma general species.

jessie, you might also have them do a CELIAC biopsy since they are in that area.

In addition to celiac, be sure to check for H.pylori bacteria.
I wish I'd known to check for celiac; I see many symptoms of it.

Send them to MDL, bring the sample bottles with you and mail them yourself after the MD puts them in there for you. It's easy, just ask them.
