My child isn't showing any distinct signs but there are a few things here and there that make me wonder. I did have Lyme while pregnant with her but didn't know it at the time and I also breastfed her for a year.
I know of one LLMD in my area that takes insurance and treats kids as well but she only uses monotherapy and don't know if that's enough. I'm not sure what treatment for kids consists of. I know that Dr. Jones is the best but we can't afford him. Does anyone know of any LLMD's in New England that take insurance that treat kids?

My children both started on liquid zithromax.
After an allergic reaction (after 1 year)
They were switched to amoxi.
They have had fluconazole and flagyl added in too.
Hope someone can help with the doctor.
Hugs,
Geneal

How old is your child?

She just turned 3.
Thanks Geneal. Judging by the treatment your kids have had, it sounds like treatment for kids isn't nearly as involved as the treatment we go through. Maybe the doctor I know of would be ok. Sounds like what your kids have had isn't far from monotherapy as well.

Right now I've been on monotherapy for a year and I'm probably 80% improved from major major Lyme issues. My 15 yr old tested CDC positive recently... we are sure she has had Lyme since birth but if not then at LEAST since she was 2 and had a bite on her head. Her main symptoms were skin related that she has had since she was about 3 and GI issues. But within the past few months she developed muscle twitches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, cognative problems... she has been on mono-therapy for a few months now and after the initial bad herxing is feeling a lot better.
I don't think Mono therapy is a bad way to go, honestly.
My other two children are about to be tested... 6 yr old son has ADHD, ADD, learning disability, painful feet and fibromyalga. 8 yr old daughter has problems sleeping, anxiety, bladder pain and chronic fatigue. Both were breast fed and no tick bites.

for the little ones, I have heard Cedax & liquid Zith along with suppliments. For Babesia - mepron.
