I have neuro lyme and i find it VERY helpful to have a heating pad around my neck and lower scalp.

It makes my symptoms less severe. I just thought i share.

Feelfit,

Do you know why we feel better when heat is pressing hard on our brain? Sometimes i get so sick with my neuro symptoms...

Crawling feeling
Bee head
Loud ringing in ear
cold chills
headache
head pressure
and tingling and numbness in my head!

Don't know sonee123, wish I did. Better yet, wish that I knew which med would get rid of it.

My head symptoms are prety much the same as yours and constant now for 17 months.

Are you on treatment?

Has anything helped you at all?

I just started treatment a month and half ago with two weeks off of abx. Of course too soon to tell anything!

amoxicillin at high dose (4000mg) daily helped with headache and reduced head pressure somewhat. As soon as I was taken off of amoxy headache and pressure is back.

Yes I am in treatment and just started with a new doctor.

sonee123,

I came across this today. I have all the symptoms you list.

(except maybe "bee head" - I don't know what that is.)

A heating pad helps me too. For awhile anyway.

Then the next day I feel totally worn out!

What's going on? Anyone?

I am not sure Carly. However the heating pad is like a life saver for me. I can feel the WORST and lay my head on it and i feel somewhat stablizied. I am not sure how the heat pad is helping me either....

I'm bumping this up again for possible theories.

Is the heat irritating the bugs and making them go someplace else?

Guess everyone's so different but heat does help me so much too. Use it everyday & couldn't survive without it.

I like the heating pad with the moist heat- it seem to penetrate more, specially with my lower back pain

carly - not sure bout the heat irritating the bugs. Was told by a LLMD a few years ago that icing makes them thrive ( ketes love a cold evironment )

Not medical advise....just my 2 cents :+)
