I am curious to see if anyone else has these issues or knows if iot is all related to Lyme.
This weekend my foot blew up, very swollen on the bone. My neck also is Killing me, very bad pain. My lower back still continues to bother me. Is this related to my Lyme?

I don't know about the swelling in your foot, but I'm pretty sure the neck and back pain are Lyme related.
I still get that too, even with seeing a chiropractor.

I agree with starfall, neck and back pain could definitely be lyme and co-infections... don't know about the foot edema though.

It's possible it could be Lyme related. Lyme Disease causes such a vast array of symptoms and affects everyone differently, so the question is difficult to answer with precision. Could it be Lyme? Yes. Is it Lyme? I don't know.

But, sure, with all the other stuff. If you could read "Cure Unknown" you'll learn so much about how to make sense of all this and what to expect during treatment.
That book can help take some of the mysteries out of symptoms. Yep, stuff moves around. It's just part of the deal. While annoying and draining, it helps to at least hope that stuff will move along.
The neck, though, that often can hurt until the infection is properly treated.
Hope you find a good LLMD soon? Have you scheduled an appt. yet?

I have not been able to get one yet. I am still seeing the rhummy but will have to travel for an LLMD. and well since I am on this big project at work I am pushing it off for another week or so.
I know I shouldn't but with the threat of always losing our jobs due to outsourcing I hate to take a chance. So when I can take a day off I will be there!! ...
I have also noticed that I am forgetting and eveything and misplacing things , like checkbook , Money etc.. Am I having all of these symtoms now because I am making myself?

Do you have intense pain in the foot? If its painful, warm and in a joint, usually the big toe, the foot problem may be gout. Mine usually flares up if I eat alot of shellfish.

The low back pain can be related to gout as well, if you have high uric acid you can get kidney stones as well

That us exactly where it is thr right Big toe. But the bone on the foot to the toe. ( where a bunion bump would be).

Oh yes, I can attest to all over, intense body pain (joint and muscle) caused by lyme and greatly decreased after treatment with ceftriaxone.
It can take months to get in to see an LLMD so if you don't have one, you might want to start looking as soon as you can.

The pain of Lyme disease can be worse than post-operative surgical pain. I can attest to that fact!

Oh, yes. Cognitive stuff can be lyme, too. Also from stress from life - but stress from lyme really hits hard. Take excellent care of yourself.

On pages 9-10 of the following document is a list of lyme disease symptoms:
The back pain is listed at the top of p. 9 and the neck pain at the top of p.10. Forgetfulness is on p. 9. Joint pain is at the top of p.9, and muscle pain is a little below it.
Joint swelling (including toes) is listed below joint pain.
Suggest you look through the entire list. If you have a lot of these symptoms, then it sounds like lyme.
I doubt you are making up any symptoms. You have enough going on in your life that I doubt you have the time or energy to play make up. But, lyme makes you wonder if you are a hypochodriac. In fact, that should be on the list of symptoms!
This is the best document in existence on lyme disease, in my opinion. It is the Dr. Joseph Burrascano lyme disease treatment guidelines. Burrascano is the U.S., if not world, guru on lyme disease.

Thank you for the posts. At times I feel like I am losing it. As I am sure others do, I can only imagine what they think.
Oh your back hurts your neck hurts your foot hurts... What else hurts...lol
Before I was diagnosed I had someone say to me, "something always hurts you" well, yes it does. Yesterday my mother made me seem like I was nuts and it is all in my head.
I went to her pretty upset after bombing on a presentation at work. It did not go well at all. I could not keep it all together and it showed.

There can be a long wait to get in with a lyme doc. Why not make the call now and set up the appointment.
It may be 2 or 3 months from now when you can get in. This way, you can start the wait now while you are busy and don't want to take time off.

I have the joint issues that you describe. In fact, the problems first began in my feet, toes and ankles . . pain, edema, swelling and stiffness. Then came the neck, knees and hands. Other issues of course . . . tx with llmd for Lyme and Batonella. Somewhat better . . . problems with abx though. Good luck! Susan

the bottoms of my feet hurt as if ive got a bone spur- or broke something in my sole...
another lyme blog mentioned this was a bartonella thing... anyone???
