I believe this is a common symptom with Lyme. I was hoping you may give me some more info on it.
My body temperature goes between 95 - 98 average temp is 97 I guess.
It changes all day long and in the morning it's usually the lowest.

It's normal for it to be lowest in the morning.
If it's below about 97.8 first thing in the morning, it's most likely thyroid. Google Broda Barnes to learn more about the thyroid/temperature connection.

Hi Six, In the morning when I wake up its around 95-96. I've had all the thyroid test and they came back normal,
My doctor said a lot of people have low temp!!!!! Just another way to get rid of me.
I never had low body temps till I got sick with lyme about 15 months ago.....

It is NOT just the thyroid.
It is the Lyme that causes the thyroid to not be absorbed by the body right.
If it can affect the nerves like it has me I have no problem believing that.
While you can have normal TSH levels a doctor will not get a true picture unless all are taken.
TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3, Calcium.
You can have a normal TSH and this is where most dr.s stop.
Your T's can still be off and make you sick.
How do I know this. My TSH is normal and T's look like I'm hyperthyroid.
So it is there but not being utilized properly.
Dr did not want to adjust until I start treatment.
I tried to get endo to give me extra T3 for the
low temperature and low BP but he said there is no evidence
to support that T3 regulates body temp.
So I said lets do Armor and he said no,
based on studies there was not enough difference between the porcine and lab created effects to make enough difference to switch.
So I guess we are just stuck with Lyme. Which can effect every organ and function we have. Including the skin.

I would ask for the test results. My LLMD treated me based on my TSH being barely in the normal range. Many people feel better if there TSH is about 1.

The one major symptom I have and always have had from the beginning is feeling cold. The only way to tell you how I feel is like this>
It feels like my nerves are on the outside of my skin. Most of the time I feel very COLD and CHILLED. It gets worse with any type of breeze like a window open in the car, etc.
It doesn't help if I put more cloths on....it drives my crazy, literally!!!!

My LLMD only tested TSH and free T4. I was very surprised as I thought tests for free T3, reverse T3 and others may be ran. I have had many tests run in the past (1 yr+ ago) and a similar pattern over 10 years. However, my LLMD didn't ask to see any older stuff. After 10+ years, I show no anti-thyroid issues so I don't believe that's a cause unless it can creep out of nowhere.
Do LLMDs typically run extensive tests or basics?

Same here. And my thyroid's been tested many times.
Had a fever for the first 6 months when I first got sick....then it went low. Has stayed there.
It seems like the more sick I am, the more it's around 96=96.5. It's not ALWAYS the case, but often.
Mine was always normal, 98.6, until this. Seems very common.

I think LLMD's know it is the Bb and Co's.
I think it is a hard line to treat thyroid symptoms
like it is a hard line diagnose Lyme
but it should and could be included in the treatment just like they do Lyme.
Patients histories support this.

I have body temp in a similar range.
Before-lyme: my normal temp was consistently "normal"--98.6
My TSH was "within normal limits" according to one PCP and wouldn't give most doctors a cause for concern even remotely. That PCP attributed the body temperature b/c I have lyme disease.
According to thyroid specialist and lyme doctor, it wasn't and isn't Normal.
Pinelady: you said it. The specialist told me that Thyroid, like lyme, is a really a Clinical diagnosis.
Like someone said, our TSH should be around 1.0. If it's going one way or the other you are either leaning toward hyper- or hypo-.
My LLMD tested me for thyroid antibodies and - viola! I have Hashimoto's.
Explains the body temperature, weight gain, drier skin...

Mine was like Michael . I had a constant temperature for three months. Then it dropped and is now always 97. When it goes to 99, I feel sick. But doctors out here don't consider that a temp.

My body temp runs higher about mid afternoon throughout the evening. I always know because I get chills and cannot keep warm. I have gotten used to it.
I just always take a sweater with me wherever I go.
