So, as I said before my pcp wanted to do his own WB test through labcorp thursday. I got the results this morning.

He said I was negative on all IGG bands and postive on band 41 and 23 of the igm. He continued to say that I only had accute lyme and I should stop my treatment after 4 weeks. I told his I didnt agree because I have had these symptoms for over a year and half and I didnt get bit 12 weeks ago. He then mentioned hepititus, Duh, we tested for all that.

Thru Igenx, I tested postive on 5 bands on the igm and 3 on the Igg. As I anticipated, two tests and two different results.

Also, he was trying to tell me Bartonella was another name for lyme disease. He told me the 3 co infections I wanted to be tested for were all treated with doxy so there wasnt a point.

BLAH BLAH is all I can say at this point. I am not going off my darn DOXY....

Sorry for you frustration Jaimie! I hope you can get abx from a different Dr is he won't treat you for lyme! I had band 23 positive on mine also and many here told me that that is a lyme specific band. I hope someone who know than me about it will come along and share!

Hey Lisa!

I am already on abx and do see a lyme friendly doc. I went to my pcp to get tested for co infec. Instead of testing, he did another WB cause he wanted to see it for himself.

Never mix Lyme with PCP. I have never had good results.

I went to my neuro yesterday, I have some demylinating in my neck and I never mentioned lyme.

I would love to educate more doctors, but they don't want to hear it and in the meantime, I still need to have tests run and meds. I get my lyme meds from my lyme doctor and I do tell him all other treatments I am on, but I am very careful mentioning lyme to my local doctors.

They hear what meds I am on, and refuse to give me anything more. Period. They do not believe in lyme, yet half the people I see at doctors offices, I think have lyme.
