bitten in 1993, unofficially diagnosed by Natrapaths in 2002 [in between, the story too long and complicated to get into, lets just say theres a big book in there]
at the moment have terible headaches, the tension/pressured type, tender spots on head, mouth and jaw soreness, neck is very tight, stiff and painful, light headed/foggy, lower back is almost seized up, now very painful around spine in mid back area, burning neck and shoulders, extreme dry and sore eyes [24/7/365]
sore/discomfort in lower right rib cage [similiar to kidney problems] stone cold knees and to a lesser degree down along legs..

this may sound silly for Lymies, but has anyone experienced these symptoms and what have you done for some relief?

any replies appreciated...

I have experienced most all of your symptoms plus a thousand more. We're all different.

I can't always say which is the worst for me. It varies and my symptoms move around. Sometimes they stick in one place for weeks sometimes for only hours. Some have persisted for years.

Are there Lyme Literate doctors in your country? I think that would be the person to diagnosis and treat you. Homeopathic means are wonderful adjuncts to treating Lyme, but I can't imagine great success or remission without antibiotics.

Good luck to you. I hope you are able to find a good, sympathetic doctor.

thanks for reply Leelee, No Im not aware of Lyme literate doctors in Ireland.. yea, there are some who CLAIM to have experience with the Lyme bacteria but truth be known they just dont know enough.

I would have thought that Im far too late for antibiotic treatment!!

I know exactly what you mean about symptoms moving around and yes I too have experienced so many different sensations that I've simply lost count at this point..

like all the rest of us Im just sick and tired of being sick and tired..

echorox,

Antibiotics can and do work at all stages of Lyme. I honestly believe it is the only answer for full remission.

In cases that are unresponsive to oral antibiotics IV antibiotics can be given. Sometimes the doctor orders IV abx for other reasons too and there is great success.

It's a shame you don't have a doctor who can help you. I am using Samento (cat's claw) which is a mild anti-bacterial homeopathic remedy. My LLMD started me on that before he put me on abx.

I bought mine at his office, but I think you can order it on-line or maybe purchase it at a health food store.

It may provide some help for you.

Same here. I have a lot of the same symptoms that move around or come and go.

I've only been under treatment for a little over a month, but I still have symptoms.

Some days the symptoms aren't as bad, and I almost forget I'm sick.

Other days I'm convinced I'm dying, or just want to.

-------------
On another note, I see you're from Ireland. I'm jealous.

I went through a period where I was convinced I lived in Ireland in a past life.

I even wrote a poem about it.

Never been there--I'm terrified of flying.

But, oh, I want to go sooooo bad!!!!

I'm with LeeLee on this one. I think you should make a move to see an LLMD in US. Ireland is a joke when it comes to these infections. The health care system is a shambles. ID docs follow only IDSA protocol and are completely oblivious to the truth and lyme and co-infections.

It will cost you of course but what price would you put on your life?
Give me a shout if you want any info.
Take care

Leelee,thanks for info

during my alternative treatment in Chicago in 2002 the Natrapath practitioners put me on a massive dose of Cats claw. this stuff came literally from source.. [the forests of Peru] I bought it in its rawest form [essentially tree bark] and spent hours preparing it for consumpion. the taste of it almost poisened me but I kept with the programme and it DEFINATELY helped me enormously.
I often think what would have become of me if I had'nt gotten that Holistic treatment, the taught really scares me...
