Hi,

For those of you who get numbness, where does it happen on your body and how long does it stay?

I've been getting numbess in my fingers, but only the tips for the past 4 weeks now. But it doesn't happen all the time. It started with my left hand and yesterday I had it in my right hand too.

I am getting a echo on Monday as I had some things on my holter monitor that warranted some workup according to my dr. My dad suggested poor circulation as the reason to my numbness and I guess if something is wrong with my heart, then that could be a cause, but I'm guessing it's Lyme.

After all, I had the knee swelling for the first time last year and the sore legs/feet. Those were new symptoms, as I hadn't gotten any new symptoms in all these years, but had some go away.

Anyhow, thanks,

Ocean

For me it's usually my hands and feet, and it will just kind of come and go. Not really any rhyme or reason to how long it stays or anything.

Sometimes too I get it on one side of my face--that's freaky to me.

Circulation could do it, I guess, but you're wise to get a cardiac workup just to be safe.

Mostly the left side of my face. Sometimes it has gone down the left arm and part of my leg and foot.
One day I woke up and the whole entire left side was numb and spastic [Eek!] , including abdomen (and other areas)...luckily that only lasted a day or so.

Hands...feet and front of my lower right leg sometimes all the way up to my hip, very random and sometimes painful.

Hi Ocean, I get numbness in my fingertips, especially my left pinky and ring fingers.

Comes and goes and is sometimes accompanied by some shakiness as well. This may be from the ABX as well.

I've had numb spots over my knee caps, in my fingers (whole arm was weak, I couldn't even snap my fingers), over a knuckle, large area outside of calf. My big toe is the worst, has been like this for years. Other numb spots have resolved, like in my fingers.

When lyme first hit me it was the whole left side of my body from head to toe went numb and tingly
After that it went to right side of body and it was constant.
Now I don't have it anymore.just dizziness. [dizzy]

Thanks guys for your input. Seems like the fingertip numbness is probably Lyme related then, glad to hear it (not good, but better than a bad heart problem!).

Wow, most of you have had numbness on a lot of your body, I'll bet that was pretty scary, esp when you were undiagnosed!

Hi Ocean,
I don't know if I ever mentioned it, but I

have had tons of numbeness. Fingers, toes , legs

arms, chest and face. My numbness in my legs

was so bad it would trip me up.

Before the Lyme Dx I was being tested for MS.

Yes, get your heart tested, but Lyme can cause

numbing.

C
