Hi Mates,

I would like to talk about band 30 for those of us who have been tested from Igenex, who are from CA or EURO. I am from both.

Are you postitive for band 30???

The reason why I am asking is because band 30 has always come up on me.

The Western Blot Band Interpretation I recieved reads as follows;

unknown, probably an Osp; common in European and ONE CA strain.

I was bite by a tick a bit over 8 years ago in CA. I also have an English background which complicates things some.

For those from Euro and CA please respond. Remember according to my Western Bot Interpretation only ONE strain going on from Calif.

Are you postive on band 30?

I appreciate your response from the bottom of my heart. Much Love,Roz xoxo

I am positive on Igenex IGM Band 30.

Although I have once been to California and once been to France in the early 1970's I do not believe I was bitten in either place.

I suspect I was infected in the Pacific Northwest or British Columbia or in Arkansas (although that is no where near the CA or Europe).

I have no idea how to explain this possible strain, except that maybe that's where it started, but as deer, mice, birds and rodents roam they spread it.

Hi Lee,

Thanks so much for your response.

What's odd with me is a couple years back I started testing positive for Rheumatoid/Arthritis, but very little joint pain.

Do you have joint pain?

My Sx have been more Neuro. and Vasucular.

Thanks so much for your response.

Hugs, Roz

Sorry I have no input TO LIFE - but could you pls clarify what you meant by "...English background which complicates things some?"

Do people of English heritage have a particular gene? Or did you mean you lived in England? Sorry, Lyme brain!

Hi Ticked,

Thanks for your response. I also have had vein probelms mostly in my right limb, scary stuff.

I hope your doing better.

Hugs, Roz

Hi btmb,

Well I suppose it could be either. But in my case my father is American and by mom was British. She was DX with R/Fever but their is no test for R/Fever, so maybe she had LYME?? So I have gone back and forth to Britian but not for several years.

I was 100% bite by a tick in CA around 8 years , it was embeded in me.

My LLMD has always seened the Euro strain in me.
Hugs, Roz

Thx for explaining that...I too have known of people with "relapsing fever" and wondered the same.

I wanted to comment because though I did not test positive on band 30 (I test positive on bands 39, 41, 45 and 58), I live in California and my symptoms are mainly neurological and vascular as well, along with severe gastrointestinal symptoms.

Hi Littlelyme,

I hope these lines find you doing better.

this whole lyme and Co. is like 2+2 equals 5 at times.

But according to by western Blot Interpretation

Band 30 is probaly an OSP; common is Europe and their is ONE CA strain.

I am just trying to make sense of it. I have some SX of AMA, I am very thankful my LLMD has helped with alot of them.

Hugs

I live in CA and at times have had bad neuro symptoms. My parents lived outside of Paris before I was born and spent a lot of time traveling in Europe. I have been to Europe twice and received more than one tick bite in CA.

On my first Igenex test I have the following results for band 30

IGM +
1GG -

On my next Igenex test 5 month later it is reversed

IGM -
IGG +

My Worst band was band 30 with +++ on top of it.

Mine was AFZELINI and GARINI ...worst GARINI .But also it exsplains how GARINI has been activated due to otehr coinfections and other viruses that might be very active at that time of testing.

YES I have been biten in EUROPE and got it there and have had FULL blown lyme 2 years that I moved in US due to the RMSF and BABESIA BUG in my backyard.

Had already bart and ehrlichia very cronic for very long with neuro lyme before moving to usa.

NEVER BEEN TO CA .

One think though .MY SON has only band 30 with + and DR JONES said that is enough to identify that he has NEURO LYME....only this band is very real .He had it congenital.BABESIA blew him out of purportion.

It does not mater IGM OR IGG ..anymore...with my daughter was same thing with bart...SHE WAS SICK and had LYME and BART activated...just for the moment did not show it..once she took somthing against bart...when retested changed the IGM and IGG...that does not mean she did not have that

She had to treat bart anyway as it was there .

The lyme can stay in decades dormant until somthing else can wake it up ..so do not be surprised...

mostly when babs or protozoa is involved or bart than would be activated faster.

Dear Alv,

I hope these lines find you well. Having the Euro. and States strains, are not like winning the daily double. I am probaly in a bit of denial. But I can only recall getting bite in the States.

My Lyme has alway mentioned the Euro strain with me. Prior to my CA bite attack, I only remember having headaches and allergies.

I had a horrid blue coloring look to my skin, that has gone away since treatment. I also had some rough Neuro. pain that is gone as well.

Were those your Euro SX.? Have you heard about band 30 being a more Euro. strain as well?

I'm happy to hear your children are in treatment, and resonding well.

Noone should have to go thru this hell.

Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom I really appreciate it.

Hugs, Roz

In 2003, my IgM was 30 +/-.

So, if we subscribe to the notion that all indefinites are actually positive, then I suppose I did have a positive 30.

I have lived in and visited several places. Including most western, southern and southwestern states. I have also spent time in Central America, Hawaii, France and the USVI.

So it is difficult to know if I was infected in any of those places other than CO where I knew I pulled ticks off of me for 20+ years. However, the first thing I would do in all of those places was to head to parks and forests.

And lets not forget that many of us live in migratory fly-ways where birds migrate from north to south and back again carrying all sorts of ticks and diseases with them.

And if that isn't enough to think about, lets remember the recent plane that was grounded in CO to clear ticks from the passenger area!

Dear Melanie,

On a serious note it would't really matter to me, except for the fact of my 16 year old.

I have him in acne treatment (mino) but every pill is an arguement. He seems healthy, but he struggles in school though. He does not believe he could possiably have Lyme, which I am hoping he doesn't.

This is why I am trying to get to the root of it.

I am wondering if the 30 has to do with being Euro.

Hugs, Roz

I live in CA and am 100% certain that I was bit here.

My first Igenex test for band 30 was:
IGG +
IGM -

Next Igenex test (7 months later) for band 30 was:
IGG -
IGM -

Hi Melanie,

Somehow I missed this story. I would like to hear or read more....it sounds like something from science fiction, but then, doesn't most everything having to do with Lyme.

Could you please tell me more, or direct me to a link?

Thanks a million!

BTW, not quite the same thing, but just goes to show that bizarre things happen... a couple of years ago I read in the paper here that a guy went camping somewhere in the south (I forget where) and left his back pack on the ground sometimes. He flew home and went to unpack his stuff. A very poisonous and rare snake had hidden inside and bit him. He recovered, but it just is one more case of harmful things being transported via air planes.

I am unfamiliar with these words. Are they a type of Bb strain?

Hi Lee,

Yes, these are the Euro strains.

OK...from testing with energetic testing.Came out I have positive BORRELIA GARINI and AFZELINI.

Ok GARINI is a strain that loves to hit the brain ..so basicly if you have no other going on infection there it could stay for long time dormant..but if you got it with another infections as babs or bart ...or was there before it will activate right away.

GARINI is VERY NEURO and LOVES THE BRAIN ,and Afzelini attackes mostly the skin .

YEs there any many other strains...Burgdoferi ( hit the join horrible) ....I have read all these first time from Dr R neurolog in NY that was testing his patient and read his notes on how he would exsplain the strains.MOST patient that get lyme sysmtoms have been exsposed many times to the bites based on his notes...over the years .

Killing it from the brain is the most dificult.Ironicly you can have one headache severe and than might as well setle if you have no more infection and you go back to life...over time with stress or any exsposure to ( parasitic infections ) -consider even mousquitos..that carry many things...or any virus...it will activate the BORRELIA.

Usully I see that depends also where you got bit as the closer to the brain more faster symtoms you will have ( and the more agresive the strain the more sick and damage it does).

I have been bit when I was a kid so many times...

Geting bit and having rashes does not mean you get only borelia..you can get RMSF and many others that ACTUALLY scared me as seems as I have collected many things not only borrelia.

There are many strains ...GARINI,AFZELINI, Burgdoferi , valaisiana...etc...but the worst are GARINI and BURGDOFERI.

Bands and + on top of it DEFINITLY show HOW AGREASIVE this is ...in that case band 30 is enought to show you have borrelia and is GONE NEURO ...the more ++ the more neuro you are...means the more active it is not only in the body ( let say yo have other bands) but you have it activated in the brain.

I have done many treatments and I wanted to know exactly what strain I have so I have collected vials HOMEPATHY and have several strains...

To life I answered to you privately longer.

Ticks on a Plane: Flight Delayed After Critters Discovered in Economy Class
Wednesday, July 09, 2008

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Some wayward ticks delayed a United Airlines flight.

Flight 1178 was delayed for nearly six hours on Tuesday after a passenger informed a flight attendant that she found a tick -- which is an insect that can carry diseases, such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Lyme disease -- in economy class during a flight to Denver.

The airline decided it couldn't fly the plane, which was scheduled next to go from Denver to Des Moines, Iowa, until it was cleaned of ticks. So passengers had to wait while another plane was flown in.

United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said that up to three ticks were discovered. Urbanski said the airline hasn't figured out how the ticks got on the plane or what type of ticks were found.

The plane with ticks had begun its day in Chicago. It was cleaned of ticks, checked and put back into service.
