I am going through some crazy stuff over here folks.
Last two days, I can't think straight (brain fog) and worse, as I also have stiff neck, headaches, chills, weakness, shakiness, tachycardia, and nausea, and anxiety.
Having all of the above going on at once is pretty scary to say the least. I'm living alone and it freaks me out so bad.
But, as bad as it all is, sometimes, it's like someone flicked a switch and it all resolves. Not 100%, but I'd say 75% and very tolerable.
Just wondering if anyone feels like death one minute (literally), and then the next minute can feel much much better out of nowhere.
It may have just been a bad Herx, I don't know.
Please do respond so I can understand all of this.

Yes, I am more likely to change between bad to good or the other way around rapidily than slowly.
If it was slower at least there would be some warning of what was coming =\.

Yes, I will change very quickly. When I first started treatment the herxes would start slowly but as I progressed they would come in a blink of an eye. Very scary...have to keep telling myself it is a good thing, the bugs are dying.

I get exactly what you're saying Lymetwister. constantly shifting. Good (well livable) to pure hell in a day or an hour. Same symptoms too.

I can relate to you also. For example I woke thinking I have never been in so much pain in my life. Two hours later I was in great spirits and almost forgot I was sick. Half an hour later new things hurt, others stopped hurting, I got confused, etc.
I think it is part of the territory with Lyme. Posted by adamm (Member # 11910) on :
I wish! Everything I have is there constantly.

Me too.
Honestly, that inconsistency feels like literal torture to me. So many times, I've felt a bit better, and unconsciously I think I might be getting better--like you would feel as some terrible flu starts to go away. Shaky, but you feel like it's passing.
Then it comes back. And back and back.
Sometimes I just cannot believe that my legs hurt so bad and were so weak I couldn't walk X hours ago, and then I'm up and around. Not RUNNING around, but not struggling.
Same with dizziness, weakness, feeling like I'm going to pass out, nausea, etc.
I often, not always, but often....feel a bit better at night between 10pm-2 am. Sometime in there, I get a reprieve. Sometimes not. Before treatments started, I used to get about 2 days every 2 weeks where I was much more functional. That's not really been the case since I started various treatments.
Every now and then I have a day where I can function. And I try to keep it down, but I feel like....'maybe I'm turning a corner'....
But that's dangerous for me to feel, because when it comes roaring back (and so far, it always has).....I get filled with despair.
When I'm sick, I just keep thinking "what is going on inside of me that makes me feel like this? And what was going on when I felt slightly normal?"

Hi,
I have this SX as well. I call it a roller coaster ride. Hugs

I feel the same - only I realized my bugs react to area cell phone towers and antennas, so that explains it...
Me too. Literally switches up hourly, hate it. Just like Michael said, I start to get my hopes up when I have a day or two of slight improvement (mind you, far from feeling good or "normal")...only to get slammed again feeling like it's surely killing me. That's been the pattern for me so far - just no pattern, very random, ugh. TS

I was just about to post about my weekend. Maybe I still will....
I've been on Doxy for a little over a month, and I've been feeling relatively decent.
Still have the usual sx, but also have days that I feel almost normal.
Now this weekend all hell broke loose.
I had one of those sudden sharp pains when I breathed in, and it lasted a couple minutes.
But after that I started having chest tighness, pounding heart, shortness of breath again.
And today at work I went into what felt like a full-blown panic attack--
it started with just suddenly feeling like I was going to pass out,, and just blew up into shaking all over, chest pain/tightness, pounding heart, shortness of breath and generally feeling like I was dying.
I stuck it out, but still felt bad on the way home--and with a 30+ mile drive on the interstate, that ain't cool.
Stopped at the chiropractor on the way home, so hopefully that will help.
Hanging in there till mmy 2nd LLMD appt on Friday.
