Hi, I just got some labwork back from MDL lab that my doctor recently ran.

It tested a bunch of viruses, and thank God (literally) most of them were negative, but the EBV-EA-D IgM was Equivocal (IgG positive), and the Mycoplasma pneumonia was positive IgM.

The EBV-EA-D is a strain of Epstein Barr.

Anyways, staying on track......what would one normally do for M. pneumonia?

Isn't Zithromax considered treatment, because I'm on that now. (I wasn't at time of testing....I might have only been on Minocycline then)

Sooo....is there anything else a pregnant woman can do for it?

And, will the Zithromax I'm now on at least prevent it from getting transmitted?

If not, is this a very risky infection for the baby to get?

And finally, can anyone pull out their bag of tricks and come up with something that may be safe for me to take to help the Myco?

Freeze dried Garlic? Any foods that would help?

Note: I will of course ask my doctor if any suggestions are safe for me, I just need help narrowing the field. I need suggestions of a place to start research. So if in doubt, just list it and I will look it up.

I just need a place to start. In first trimester, which is the time when a lot of women get really tired....so I'm stressing about being able to keep my eyes open long enough to research this. Thanks for any help......VERY appreciated.

Yogurt-make sure it is the live culture,

the bowels take care of all our garbage we

produce so we need to take care of them and

the flora they possess to get the job done,

garlic-great for the immune system-a lot of

research has been done on this amazing little

bulb- I like mine cooked in everything and great

on burgers with onion. Mix up a big batch soft

cooked in skillet, in butter and or onions, and

freeze for your burgers,etc.,

shiitake mushrooms- I get at the major discount

store in the US, any store bought mushrooms,

greatly boost immune system, I don't care for

them raw, but sauteed they(shiitake) are kind of nutty flavored. The others I eat raw.

vitamin c -will greatly improve EBV like

symptoms, you might ask Dr. max dose allowed in

your case. And vitamin A. also.

This is the primo place for mycoplasma information, it's top researcher Garth Nicholson's site:

www.immed.org

The Institute for Molecular Medicine

A nonprofit institute dedicated to discovering new diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for chronic mycoplasma infections.
