Is it high in people with Lyme?

Mine is 1. I have no idea what that means.

mine was 15 and is now 1 since I have done a year of treatment.
I guess this is good. It has to do with the amount of inflammation in the body.

My daughter's was 34 at the start of treatment, it is now a 3.
It's supposed to indicate inflammation.

0-20 is normal for females. It is one way to measure inflammation. CRP, ANA, should also be taken into account. ANA measures autoimmune disorders.
Mine is "1"

Many with Lyme have low sed rates. I think mine is 3. Someone posted a long time ago that a low sed rate could be due to hypercoagulation (which I have).

Yep TuTu, Last appt. my LLMD commented about my SED rate of "1" not being normal either.....will have to ask tomorrow what he meant by that.

Sed rate in Lymies means nothing without testing
proteins! This is where you get a false low sed
rate, meaning the protein is not there and it is
not whats making the cells so heavy. Mine has been
2 for over a year and why doc.s thought nothing was
wrong with me until they tested for proteins.

What do you mean tested for protiens? What test is that?
Posted by kelmo (Member # 8797) on :
My daughter used to have blood that came out like hot fudge.
Now it comes gushing into the tube.
I had an elevated CRP, which is the protein test.
Even a neurologist told me that it meant inflammation.

Sed rate being "abnormally low" isn't something physicians look for. Per the Canadian Consensus Criteria for ME/CFS, the low sed rate is a red flag.
Mine is 1, even though my protein is too high. My vague understanding is the sed rate has a bit to do with red blood cell formation, which may incorporate the protein Pinelady mentioned and in my case protein just isn't getting into the cells.
Hypercoagulation Lymetoo mentions has been found in up to 90% of those with CFIDS, which is often undiagnosed Lyme. Best test known for that is the ISAC panel, now offered through Labcorp. Was offered by Hemex labs before they were bought twice.
