I am very excited, despite the fact I am infected with a parasite.
For those who do not follow my work, I have isolated a parasitic microbe from mucus contained in diarrhea. I checked it under the microscope, and discovered a very strange species of apicomplexan parasite, that did not match any morphological description in any image data base I have checked.

I recorded and experimented with the microbe for months, to establish it's mode of infectivity. It appears to infect mast cells.
So I had just sent the sample to a lab for mtDNA cytochrome oxidase sequence barcode, which makes it easy to cross reference a massive gene data base, for identification.
The result: unknown. So far anyway. They tested it for fungal references and turned up negative.
I am waiting for more comprehensive results.

My studies have indicated there are others with more sever symptoms than mine, who have a variation of this same bug!
This type of bug is documented as being in the human food-chain. There are thousands of species, and many are still very unknown to scientists.
Considering the problem of malaria, I think more focus should be placed at finding out if humans are carrying these bugs. Microw
