I recently got the nystatin powder. The pharmacy put them in individual containers... However, Im concerned about my doseage.. it says 12 million units per day in each bottle.. everything I read online seems to be a lot less... what doseage do others take??

I was just prescribed Nystatin also...but I have the already mixed liquid.
The instructions that came with the bottle say the usual dose for adults is 400,000 to 600,000 units 4 times daily. (one tsp/4-6mls of my bottle).
However, I'm a little confused too...my llmd ordered one Tablespoon 3X daily instead of the recommended one teaspoon 4X daily. I will be calling her on Monday. I'll post back with more info if you don't get more informed replies.

my son has always taken the pills, and has never had any issue.
the strength is 500,000 units, twice daily.
also have the cream for granddaughter, it says, each gram is 100,000 units. to be used each diaper change.
i honestly did not realize there was a powder. i knew there was a liquid, that we used on diaper rash type infections, when he was very young.
it stained him purple in the diaper area.
i have used diflucan 100mg, daily. off and on for YEARS!! it seems to help just fine.
never really understood why the two different meds, for my son and i though.
