This seems to be my worse symptom as of lately as many things have resolved and this has now come on.
I know the over the counter medicine can cause drowsiness and I have it, but wanted to ask before I took it.
If it worked, I would be sitting pretty good right about now.
Thanks in advance,

it did nothing positive for me

Yes, it helped my father immensely during two serious bouts of vertigo he had. But it does make one sleepy.
I have not tried it yet because my vertigo is intermittent, and I didn't know about Meclizine then, but I now carry it around just in case.

It does make me sleepy, but sleeping through vertigo seems like a good way to deal with it! It's not like I can do anything else....

I just broke a 25mg in half and took 12.5mg. Will see what happens. If not too much sedation and no relief, I'll take the other half in about an hour.
I'll report back on how I fair.

12.5mg didn't work, so I took the whole 25mg which didn't work either. Oh well, just another symptom that will go away when it wants to. Not a fun one.

What seemed to help my vertigo and meniers (sp?) was valium. I only needed a very low dose and it really seemed to help me much more than the meclizine did.

Meclizine was my saviour! It works well for me to stop vertigo. Obviously, it depends upon what is causing your vertigo.... as to what will resolve it.
I hope you can find a solution! Ernie

It worked great for my husband's vertigo recently but we think it was caused by a virus.
