Not necessarily - even though they are in the same class, some can be effective while others are not. My son made great progress on Ceftin, lost most of that after a switch to Omnicef and currently is making slow progress with Rocephin. Rocephin also seems to have positive effects that are not directly related to its abx action.
Sadly, a trial run of Rocephin is a much more expensive experiment than the others unless you have good insurance coverage.
