I have been trying to reach the lab all week. Everyone says the tests are expensive, but HOW expensive? Does anybody know?

I LOVE YOU TOO! JUST KIDDING. I went everywhere looking for the post with the information you said...I am so tired, I can't concentrate so well. Can you tell me where it is again?

The western blot IgG and IgM, test #188 and #189 is a total of $200....many other tests available though, but this is the initial one that should be done.
You can also order a test kit that comes with the Dr's order form and price list at www.igenex.com
Just email customer service with your address.

Thank you so much. So are these the only 3 I should get done first? Are those the cheapest ones?
I had a copmuter diagnostic test that said that I had Rickettsia. In 2003 I was told I have Epstein Barr. I am only now wondering if it is not really just Lyme.
I have no money. Do Igenex give discounts? Should I get a Rickketsia test?
Help and guidance is needed.
A huge part of me wants to stay in denial and not know this because I cannot bear the idea of living the rest of my life in pain. I have been chronically ill my whole life. This could send me over the edge. How do I get past it?

i paid over 400 bucks for my igenex and coinfec testing. i think it was around 460.
i didn't submit to insurance as i didn't want them to know it was for lyme, so it was out of pocket.

It is 2 tests, not 3.....Western blot IgG and western blot IgM which are test #188 and #189 on the Dr order form.
They are the basic ones to start with and yes, it is cheaper than ordering a panel which also includes a Lyme IFA which you really don't need.
I do not think Igenex has discounts.
They do accept credit cards.

So then, if those two come back as positive then you get the other co infections tests? Is that correct?

iloveyou,
i looked for my igenex cost sheets i posted in 2 places; had NO luck finding them either!!
used the board's search too in various forums; no luck; perhaps moderator deleted them and didn't let me know? who knows; almost 24,000 posts; too many to go back too.
i'll look on another board where i found the $$$ to begin with.

Thanks so much.. May I ask why I do not need Lyme IFA What is the difference in the tests? Why is it that you say I do not need it?
Posted by HaplyCarlessdave (Member # 413) on :
you can can the tick tested, if you have that, for $60. (I just sent 'em a tick I found on me, in case it lets me know there's lyme here!) DaveS

i'll get back to you on price list; went to other site & posted since i was unable to find it since they don't have a search feature like lymenet.

I just paid a little over $1000 for lyme plus coinfections 3 weeks ago - I really hope insurance will reimburse some of it.
Testing a tick is $60 per test - it can add up if you have everyting done!
