I took one pill a day since it's so expensive!! I took it for about 2 yrs. Have also taken other similar enzymes which were cheaper, but probably not as good.
Bolouke is supposed to be the best.

I was shocked. My LLMD, who doesn't normally sell supplements, had a few bottles. He sold it for $80.
My daughter is feeling it in her head and spine, which is what we want.

$80 is a good price. My LLmd sells it for a little over $100.
I should go back on it, although there are other blood thinners you can take - bromelain, fish oil, ginter, gingko biloba.
I didn't have much of a reaction one way or another on 1 pill a day.

On a tip from another Lymenetter (sorry, can't remember who to give credit to), I checked out www.galaxynutritioncenter.com for Boluoke. They sell it for $56.75 plus shipping. Still pricey, but less than $80.

I thought you took Heparin Lymetoo?
I'm trying Serrapeptase. Maybe 2 capsules a day. I hope it does something. I don't have severe hypercoagulation, but somewhat high normal fibrin levels.

Love Love Love it!!!!!! Can't live without it. Been on it for 3 months. I've taken 2 capsules to 6 capsules a day. I believe it recommends 2 before each meal. Anyway, it is one supplement that i hate paying for, but can't go without.

That's good to hear. What have you noticed different?
What I believe is happening is making ALL her medications more effective. A couple of them didn't need the kind of boost she got, as it was a nighttime anti-anxiety.
She is starting back on it, but only one pill a week. I think it will be a good addition, and we will try to work up.
Someone on here found Bolouke for a good price. You might do a search on here. I believe it was in the $59 range.
I just got some from vitacost...lumbrokinase. It seems to be working just as well as the name brand.

Do you recall how much the shipping was from Galaxy Nutrition Center? I couldn't find shipping costs without registering and placing an order.

linky : Bolouke or lumbrokinase is made from earthworms. It helps break down Fibrin... thicking in the blood. The test is a prothrombin I believe.
Lyme and other virues like to change our blood from thin to thick helping it to live and making it more difficult for our immune system to fight it. Its bad for our heart and increases the risk of stroke and of course its bad for treating lyme
I had a very high fibrin count. We put me on Boluoke 20mgs twice daily for two months. I was tested again and I had to drop it down to 1x every other day. It worked great for me.
Even though it is expensive it is so much safer then drugs and it works really well.

Some say that Bolouke or generic equivalents are as good or better than Wobenzym at fibrin-busting activity. Others feel Wobenzym is superior. However, I lumbrokinase is generally thought to be better than any nattokinase products in this respect, and all of the above are not as effective as the expensive to import Rechts-Regulat.
I'm curious - who has found that Lumbrokinase is superior to Wobenzym or has LLMDs who feel that way?

I recently heard that Lumbrakinase works more on the brain than Wobenzym but both are excellent...(be careful when starting. You can herx like crazy if you take too many too fast. )

I have been using Super Digestaway by Soloray for about 3 yrs. It really has been very effective in clearing up my neuro symptoms and is very inexpensive. About $12 for 180 caps.
It contains
pancreatin 4x (equivalent to 700 mg of pancreatin)
porcine-bile extract
papain,
bromelein,
peppermint leaf,
ginger root,
pepsin,
betain )hcl)
aloe vera gel.
I take 3-6 with meals and in between.
I have had a bottle of Rechts-Regulat sitting on my shelf for about 3 yrs and have always been afraid to use it.
Probably for the same reason tosho experienced,

I had similar problems on the Rechts Regulat. I got extreme heartburn...well I had never had heartburn before, so I thought it was extreme.
It was horrid so I stopped and haven't had heartburn since.

What you are describing sounds like a very good digestive enzyme. But I don't think it will work as well or the same as either Wobenzyme or Lumbrokinase etc.
Hubby has taken pancreatin, ox bile and betaine with meals for years. I would be very cautious about taking betaine HCL on an empty stomach though -- could be too acidic.
Hubby had been taking Vitalzym for 6 months or so -- similar to Wobenzyme but includes serapeptase. Has been helpful.
A couple of weeks ago his LLMD suggested he take Lumbrokinase. Had tried this several years ago but at that time couldn't tell if it did anything. This time he started at 1 capsule 2 times daily on an empty stomach. He increased this to 3 capsules after about a week because it seemed to really help his brain -- he said he felt like it increased bloodflow to his brain.
Hubby continues to take 4 Vitalzym as well.
I ordered 30 capsule bottles of Allergy research brand of Lumbrokinase for $24 from Vitaminshoppe.com.

I understand why you would say that, and I did research other enzymes before I started on this particular one. There is only 25mg of HCL and it never bothered me.
I think one of the reasons it works so well is because of the papaya and bromelein which is well known for digesting parasites. I hope your hubby is doing well,

I feel like it has most definitely improved the effectiveness of the meds, definitely improved blood to the brain, .... For YEARS I would herx and as the die off would move through my "filter" organs (kidney, liver, spleen, etc) I would have severe problems (emergency room constantly). Kidney infections, liver swelling, and more pancreatic attacks than one should have to endure.
This stuff has stopped all the digestive chaos. I was doing 3 enemas a week just to move bowels--nothing would "go" and I tried everything!!!!
Now, with the lumbrokinase, I can take magnesium and aloe vera and all the other tricks and they work like everyone was telling me they should.
They very first capsule made me feel so weird and I was worried they wouldn't work. I agree, go slowly and build up. Now I tolerate them fine.

Recht Regulat actually got rid of my heart burn..lol I have always had heart burn but never while on rechts now that im off of it, it has come back...that just shows everything is different for everyone!
