Tired after eating?

Does anyone know what causes the fatigue after eating?

I know I have a lot of GI issues but I am trying to resolve them. I am just not sure if it is the disease, food allergies, yeast or what could be causing the fatigue and other GI problems.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Dear BlueCheetah,
Have you tried keeping a food diary? That may help you identify food allergies. Yeast may cause this as well. You may want to check your blood sugar. Mine tends to drop, but my father feels fatigued when his is too high. He is diabetic. You can get a free glucometer online at many sites.

Sincerely,
Jin

CAN be from all the blood going to your digestive system to digest the food. Leaves less for the rest of the body.

Thank you guys.

I do feel like it is the blood all moving to my digestive system because the heart palps sometimes kick in then too.

My glucose is normal so that is not an issue at this point.

Hi There,
I have been feeling severe fatigue after eating meals for several years now. It progressed so that every time I ate I would get double vision and couldnt manage to stay awake. I even got the heart palps sometimes. I started to eat only in the evening so I could just fall into bed afterward.
I started the Buhner Protocol in January and have noticed that this problem seems to be gone now.
I am not sure which med helped with this but suspect it is the artemisia.

I discovered that if I keep my glycemic index as even as possible my energy levels and even neuro symptoms are improved.

I know your glucose levels are "normal", but try cutting all grains out of your diet, as well as minimizing the sugary foods (including sugary fruits), and see how you feel.

Best wishes!

Mine does the same thing where it feels like my blood rushes to my digestive system and everything else gets the shaft. I always take digestive enzymes and drink at least a little kefir with every meal and it seems to help some.
