So basically my LLMD doesn't believe in severe

herxing. Instead, taking increases on meds and

supplements very slowly. Watching for reactions.

I think she is treading cautiously especially

with me because of the possible

MS diagnosis.

However, my LLMD in training (not my real LLMD)

finally added Cumanda into my protocol like

this: one drop once a week, then one drop twice

a week, then one drop three times a week, until

each day I am taking ONE DROP! LOL! Then, repeat

this sequence with two drops, repeat working up

to 10 drops each day. I am 46 years old, and

according to my calculations I will be 57 before

I work my way up to that! J/K I should have my 9

year old son solve this as a math problem for me!

Everyone has to work out for themselves what works best regarding doses of both meds and herbs and supplements.

Hubby has had things he had to increase very slowly and other things he never had a problem with high doses, but some of the ones he tolerated better didn't really help.

Just keep some sort of notebook where you record changes to meds, herbs and supplements and also make notes regarding changes in symptoms. Over time you will get to know your body and trust your judgement to make changes as you can tolerate them.

Just don't get discouraged. You are in this for the long haul.

I do think that starting slow and ramping up does work better for most people as a general rule. It may actually end up taking less time to go slow if you don't have to stop your treatment repeatedly due to side effects or toxicity.

This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.

Good luck.

I can add one or two drops a day and be at 10 drops within a week. But every person is different. It also depends what other meds you are taking. For me cumanda is not very helpful, but good from time to time.Good luck.Karen

My son ramped up too quickly on Samento and had a bad herx. He took a break and then started on 1/4th of one drop of Cumanda (put one drop in one cup of water and take 1/4 cup of the water). He did that 2X/day for 4 or 5 days and then increased to 1/2 of one drop. Eventually he got up to 20 drops 2x/day.

You might want to think about this approach if one drop is too much for you.

I have an MS diagnosis and this approach worked well for me too. I really like the slow and steady approach.

I did not have a problem with cumanda or samento. I started with 20 drops and quickly spiked it up to 30 twice a day. Does this mean that I am close to well?

Can you believe I haven't even taken my first dose of 1 drop per week! LOL! What a chicken!! Actually, since I just upped my Biaxin and some other herbs, I thought I would wait a few days for the Cumanda to start.
