Does it help with your mental and physical anxiety symptoms?

How does it compare to Ativan?

go to page 2 and there is a post entitled ativan vs klonopin that answers your question. [Wink]

I take Klonopin and it helps. It also helps protect your brain.

Here is an article written by Dr. Paul Cheney talking about the benefits of Klonopin.

I've been taking Klonopin for over a year now, and I love it!

It's the only med which has ever really helped me.

Highly recommend it! : )

The Klonopin really helps to relax me enough that I feel that my muscle aches relax too at the same time. I can sleep better due to this and take it before bedtime when the muscle aches and anxiety are intolerable at sleep time.

At first it really helped my muscle jerks and helped me sleep, but you build a tolerance to it and I had to keep increasing the dose. Now I am weaning down on it and hoping to get off of it if the muscle jerks keep getting less severe.

Psychotropic drugs can have very serious adverse effects.

Be sure to get FULLY informed.

If you go by Marnie's theory, klonopin increases the activity of GABA in the brain which opens the sodium channels in the nerve cells which would not be good for lyme.

neuro-protective. May delay alzheimers. Proven to be effective for the chronic fatigue aspect of illness. A life saver for me. Have gone on and off many times without problems.

As with all medications, everyone responds differently. Addictive personalities should probably avoid.

Educate yourself about any medication before using. Weigh risk vs benefit.

I was given klonopin for my neuropathy. I don't think it did squat for my neuropathy, but it sure made the world look rosey. I would take it and my husband would seem to be in a good mood. I used to draw happy faces on the pills...at work...not good.

I had to get off of it. Too much potential for abuse. I really, really liked it.

when I use klonopin I am able to cut my pain meds

in half. I only use 1mg per day right now. Don't

over do it if you can help it.
