I am helping a friend who is in desperate need of finding a lyme friendly doctor (not necessarily a LLMD) just one that would be open to working with a LLMD, that would take Atlantis Health Insurance. Would you know of anyone in NY or NJ?

Maybe contact the NY and NJ support groups.
You would also need to contact the docs office to find out if they take a specific insurance. Some may at one point, then don't suddenly... so do check with the individual offices for up to date info.
You can find support groups listed here on Lyme Net by going to the pretty leaf pile in the top left corner of the board.
