Hi All

Tried to do a search on this, but "glutathione" turns up hundreds of matches, and I didn't see the answer on the first few pages.

Anyway -- IV glutathione for relief of the herx. For those who've been helped by it, how long did it take to feel some relief, and how often do/did you need the IV?

I feel like I've been herxing more or less nonstop for 8 weeks. I finally had an IV today. I feel like I am starting to feel somewhat better, but I'm not sure if that's a coincidence, placebo effect, or the glutathione having an effect after only an hour...

Thanks
Kim

Kim--

You might get different responses to your question as people's reactions to glutathione have varied. Some report almost an immediate relief of herxing (meaning after the first 1,2, or 3 IVs)....feel that their muscle pain and stamina is better....some are more clear-headed....

Others may report that they had no reaction/relief/didn't notice anything. While others may report that they herxed from the glutathione itself (increase in dizziness, itching, achiness) from the toxins leaving the body....

In my personal experience, I didn't really feel anything when I was on abx for lyme and I was at my sickest and I did the glutathione IV. I only tried it one time because I didn't notice any reaction. Later, I tried the glutathione cream from a compounding pharmacy and felt intensely achey afterwards so I stopped it. I have since learned from others (including my LLMD) that my adverse reaction to the glutathione cream was most likely toxins being pulled......

Anyway, I'm now off all abx and I have recently restarted glutathione cream. As before, I'm herxing from it (have some itching...flu-like achiness)...However, I'm pleased to report that within one week it has markedly helped my overall stamina (especially in my legs) and greatly reduced my overall muscle pain....

I would recommend trying it in your IV a few more times to see how you respond...good luck....

I hope the cream helps you. I felt so, so awful this morning, and within a few hours of the glutathione IV I'm feeling so much better that I almost can't believe that it could be the injection. I hope I'm one of the lucky ones and not just having a coincidental good few hours.

the glutathione IV usually helps the next day for me. I hope it does for you too.

I did glutathione IV and now that I look back, it was helping in small amounts daily. I might get back on them

I did the IV push and within 2-3 minutes I was incredibly better.

Enormously better.... in many ways. I fell in love with it.

Haven't seen anything make me feel any better any faster than that has done.

The IV drip I would think would not be hitting as hard (slow drip and not a direct push)... and suppositories are the same principle. It is a slower, milder reaction and usually the next day.

I am trying the cream now, as we speak, for the first time ... and noticed within an hour some improvement, nice improvement... and I had been feeling really really rough.

So yes, it can make a BIG difference.

Good luck with it.

As far as how long it lasts....

I haven't heard a "standard" or set time.

The IV push for me lasted 2-3 very good days, 3-4 mediium to lower days... and then it was time for more.

But as good as I feel afterward...

I'd take a bath in it every day if I could.

Hi,

I was just wondering where is the best place to get the glutathione suppositories from? I don't think I could find anyone in my area to do the IV's.

Thanks,
lr

I think I recall reading on this board that they sell the suppositories at a compounding pharmacy in Alabama called Wellness Pharmacy (google it).

I think Luvs2ride has used them....

I obtain the glutathione cream from Wellness Pharmacy...don't know where Tincup gets hers from....

I don't know why some lyme patients seem to "herx" from the glutathione and eventually feel better and other lyme patients feel immediately better...hopefully someone will come along with an answer to this....I can't find it in all of the research I've done....
