I was wondering what other peoples expereinces with IV glutathione were.
What type( push or drip) How much and how often was it prescribed to you?
Thank You Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :
IV push... 200 MG/ML... mixed in 10 ML dextrose, do it daily.
I could not afford it so only did 1 X each week or two... and/or 1 X month.
You didn't ask... but... it was about $25.00 a dose this way. Not including the nurse, needles, sharps, etc.
Cream... 500 MG in 2 ML base cream. Use 2 X week.
Price is about $30.00 for 6 weeks worth- doing it 2 times a week. MUCH better price... and no muss and no fuss.
I am finding the cream at this dose is good. It is also MUCH easier and cheaper. No nurses needed, no needles, no extra running around for supplies and no pain.
And no trip to docs when you feel so bad... which was hard on me.
Good luck!

I did not use the IV drip at docs office- but have heard the price can be $100.00 or more.
And if you are interested... suppositories ...
500 MG per suppository... like in the cream... and ordered to take 2 X week.
Need to be sure the PH (acid) isn't too high in them though. Ouch on that!
They cost... about $39.00 for 12... enough for 6 weeks.

Now that I've looked it all up and listed it above....
It appears the cream I get is the cheapest delivery method and in my opinion the better way to go for a number of reasons.
Hope that helps!
Raining and storms again... I'm gone!

Hi Tincup--
Are the suppositories effective? Where do you get them? Do you need a prescription?
I'd like to try some alternative delivery method, the IV glutathione I've been getting is great but I will be out of town for 2 weeks and would like to keep some glutathione in the mix since it's helped me so much.
Anyone out there have opinions on the effectiveness of cream verus suppositories versus IV? Thanks
Kim

A clarification question. What is a push? Does that just mean a direct injection shot (into skin tissue or port line) as opposed to IV drip?
As you can tell, I haven't yet started lyme ABX so trying to get educated as to what y'all are referring to.
I get weekly IV Glutathione. At first it was 1mg, then the last time or two they increased it to 2mg.
I am going through so much stress right now with the mold crisis in my house and living in a hotel that I don't think the Glutathione IV can compensate for all that.
In other words, now might not be a fair evaluation period of its full benefit potential for me. I will stick with it for a bit.
It is very hard for hubby to get me there weekly for it though. My doctors want me to try daily nebulized glutathione and see if that helps any. Still trying to figure out how to do that. It will start at 1mg daily.
Anyone know if there is a maximum level that is recommended to not exceed, whether IV or nebulized? Seems like it would be the same levels with either administration process, right?
I did get a little bit of a lift after the first weekly IV; lasted a day or two. Nothing substantial though, but it did allow me to be able to go into a store and ride the electric cart for a few minutes to shop. Something I have not been able to do in a very long time.

Thank You everyone for the info. I am using a push right now but was wondering what other peoples doses are becuase I thought mine seemed low. because when i called they said it was usually $12.50 a push but mine ended up being much less so i was wondering if it could be increased in the future. (i got it where you get it from merrygirl and they are great )
Tincup, I did not know it came in cream form. when i cant do pushes anymore I will definetely look into that because i think glutathione makes a difference for me.
Jam, An IV push is a syringe filled with the glutathione that you slowly push into some kind of line (like a picc line or other line) over a certain amount of time. The time will vary according to the doasge.
A drip is also hooked up to a line but is in a bag and hung on a pole.

I have been using Glutathione OSR 100 mg/day that comes in a powder that I mix with juice.
I wonder what the benefits are really. The supply I have should last me a couple more months but, it was $250.00. Should I bother getting a refill?
