Hi, I just do not get all money spent on many of us not getting well on so many meds. [Roll Eyes]

Have not spoken to 1 person that did not feel better after Hyperbaric.

I wish they would pay & I would stop lot of expensive Drs.,meds,++++

Yet, declined or not covered, most Ins.

Hope to have some you used chime in??

I found HBO to be a very good, but expensive, therapy to use along with ABX, especially IV. I definitely improved by doing about 30 plus treatments but it is not curative.

Insurance does not pay for it either, as you know. A mono chamber is much better than a group one.

If you have the funds, IMO it will move up a few notches but I would not expect a cure or to enable you to get off ABX.

There is a person, Tamara (I think) who has blog about her success with this.

As with many things, this would be a part of the protocol but it was sure an important part to her and others, too.

Scroll down and see her HBO machine photos, and read more about that:

I am doing my third session today in a multi chamber. I wanted to push home the 5th and final month of IV ricephin before I go back on Bicillin.

Today will be the first session at full dept. I am expecting a rough time as I herxed at 8 feet on the first day.

I will post as I go. I am doing 5 days a week for at least 4 weeks. Its about 50 bucks a pop. At this point I dont give a monkeys about cost.

To me there is not much difference between 12 grand in the hole and 15 grand in the hole if you cant get well enough to work. I am going for broke all the way with this.

I did a month of deep dives (40 total) Then did maintance dives (once every 2 wks) for 2yrs. It didn't cure me, it helped me feel better, it's nice to get good O2.
What is shown on her site is a Mild HBOT, they don't go as deep as the one I did. The mHBOT does help with brain function but doesn't kill Lyme.
And one would have to do it on a regular basis to keep improvement.

Hi, My problem is many people hear from are helped.
We spend soooo much money going no where when we have this at our back door.

Doe`s this upset anyone, has for me for years.
Why not try something that is less than all the money spent getting nothing done.

Seems so ridiculous to not try just in case what works over money spent on not getting well for Years, too many for us to even talk about.

What is your thoughts???

It helped me feel better, but like with all the millions of other things I've tried, only to a degree...

I do, however, know that without IV Rocephin I would not have the cognitive functioning I have today....HBOT didn't help me with that....

There is a doc in "my town" that says Pycnogenol AND hyperbaric therapy can cure lyme.

Those 2 and only that combination.

Pycnogenol reduces inflammation and more.

Dosages he recommends is 1 mg per pound of body weight per day...all at once. In other words, if you weigh 150#, you would take 150mg of Pycnogenol...and only a "good" form of this...from French Pine tree bark.

HBO "dives" ...many needed and yes, very expensive and yes, not covered.

HBO IS available at Lakewood Ranch near Bradenton, Florida and at other locations around the U.S.

From what I've read, a single chamber is better.

It is not the only way to rid, Bb, but simply "another way".

I am on my second 40 dives and am combining with 2gm IV Rocephin infused before each session along with Doxy, Mepron, and Azithromycin. I also take Teasel Root, Red Root and Boneset tinctures and stay on the strict no sugar, no caffeine diet. I also cut out gluten, dairy and most carbs. I bought an industrial juicer and juice 16-24oz of green veggies a day. I find it helps A LOT with digestion and elimination.

I got a lot better after the first 40 Hyperbaric treatments, but then regressed a little when I didn't go back after 4 weeks to do 40 more. It is SO worth doing to feel better. I never felt this good just doing antibiotic treatment.

I agree it sucks that insurance doesn't pay and it's expensive! Let's hope that changes!! I am hoping that WHEN the lyme bill passes, lyme will start getting some of the long overdue attention that it so desperately needs!

It did help me and I did have significant herx like reactions when I did it, so I know it was killing something off.

However, when I stopped doing the dives (and I had to for the nearest chamber was 2 1/2 hours away---plus the cost), I regressed.

I am battling Cpn and various viruses, so I'm on antibiotics and antiviral medications. Those are helping me too.

You can likely do a search using my member number and HBOT to see my posts. If I had a chamber in town, maybe I would continue with one dive every 3 weeks to continue to pound away at the pathogens...but it is expensive and time consuming.

Best, Timaca

I personally know of people who antedotidly (killed that word on spelling, sorry) told me they did well using mhbot when combined with heat and a proper low carb, no sugar diet. Not a cure, but has lowered pain for them. Seems to take a while (like a year) and results were gradual.
