People wanna say its anxiety, but the bottom line is somedays I wake up and these things are just worse with no known reason.... is it possible that it is herx and not all in my head?

Clint,
I have days where those things (and some others) are much worse. I get upset when people say it's anxiety, but the truth is, I spend a lot of time trying to 'talk myself' out of the symptoms. ie, in a way, I wonder myself if I'm just freaking myself out.
But...that doesn't work. Some days, I am so dizzy/disorientated, it's unreal. And it can last for hours and hours. And other times, it's just simply not there. I can have other symptoms, even the scarier ones, and STILL not be dizzy or have air hunger, etc.
I get what I get, day to day, as well. I have spent a lot of time trying to think if I DID something that makes it worse or better, and for the most part, have no answers. Just...get what I get.
I don't think it's in your head. If it is, then a very large group of us, having had no prior contact before lyme, are experiencing a remarkably similar form of sudden-onset mass-hysteria.
I do think it's possible that symptoms like that kind of dizziness can CONTRIBUTE to anxiety or depression, and make things worse. Sure, why not. Though, in a way, I hate to even tell the truth about the anxiety, fear, or depression issues because with many people (doctors, family, etc), they stop hearing you as soon as you mention those things. It ALL gets chalked up to that.
Even if we were people with NO history or any kind of anxiety, depression or other emotional/mental issues prior to this.
I can't answer, though, whether it's herx-processes or just the underlying illness(es). That, I never know.
I'm dizzy as hell today, miserable in 10 other ways. Frankly, it's a really scary day.
I'm sorry to hear you're still struggling. I hope you're better in some ways than you were when you first started writing here.

Yes, particularly if you are treating babesia.

I can be busy with whatever, have my mind completely occupied, and suddenly go spacy and feel like I'm going to faint.
Then the air hunger kicks in and I feel like I'm having a heart attack.
I too have a hard tiime believing it's all anxiety or all in my head.
Now, last week I seemed to have a lot of issues with anxiety and stuff, but last week was also just bad overall--husband's aunt had heart surgery and a stroke, anniversary of my dad's death.....
Just had a lot going on emotionally, and I attributed it at least somewhat to all that.

Clint,
Yes, as Six said, it does sound like a Babesia issue or herx. I am sorry you are still having problems with the dizziness. Hang in there my friend.
