Does anyone experience this? [confused]

What could it be? Sure isn't from running sprints!!

I am waiting on an LLMD appointment, but this is a new symptom for me.

Not like the symptoms I felt with my fist diagnosis with Lyme.

But then again all of the symptoms I am experiencing now are different than the first time.

Any answers would be greately appreciated.

Thanks!

Trish [hi]

I have that frequently. Feels like the muscles in my shin area are tight and burning, like I had been walking a lot. It comes and goes. I have been fighting the disease a little over two years and this just started the last 6 months. [Smile]

Does it feel like a shin splint? This type of pain can be attributed to Bartonella. Have you been tested for bart, or have had any tx for bart along with your lyme tx?

Not sure njlymemom.

I'm not the athletic type.

All I know is there is an ache down the front of my lower legs.

I thought a vitamin or mineral deficency. But, then I was thinking it could be due to one of the tick borne diseases.

No I have not been tested for any co-infections. Just an Elisa for Lyme last fall which, surpirse, surprise was negative.

This new LLMD is supposed to be testing for everything.

I have many more symptoms like chronic to severe back ache and heart attack like episodes and a lot of sweating at times.

Would like to know if that is specific to one of the co-infections.

Years ago when I had a clinical diagnosis of lyme, I had the fevers, virtigo, photophobia, but not this time.

And of course joint pain.

Thanks for listening.

Bartonella is what springs to my mind.

Tests for this co-infection aren't that accurate.

Bartonella.

Vitamin D deficiency.

Start taking vitamin D3 and it should go away in a week or two. In the meantime, get some sunshine 20 minutes a day if your meds don't preclude it.

I get the same thing. It does feel like shin splints. Very painful. Mine comes and goes. I haven't been dx'd but I've been told also that bartonella can cause shin pain.

Thanks lymeinhell

I am vitman D deficient and I've been on prescription strengh supplments 50,000iu once weekly.

This is the second prescription since last fall. I've had this pain since the suppliments, so I don't think it's that

But thanks anyway!

Trish
