I posted last night about air hunger. My LLMD says I'm probably not detoxing enough... I don't know this is the case. My NP told me it could be babesia (now that the Lyme bugs are killing off and I've been doing so well, maybe the babesia is kicking in.)

At any rate, has anyone used glutathione in a nebulizer? If so, what strength? Did you find it comforting to the lungs. I have read about it on several message boards.

FYI - The air hunger for me is not something that requires a visit to the ER. Not too extreme but would like to have some relief. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if this would help (if you can tolerate ASA):

Inhaled lysine acetylsalicylate (L-ASA) attenuates histamine-induced bronchoconstriction in asthma.

And

Activity of inhaled lysine acetylsalicylate (L-ASA) on bradykinin-induced bronchoconstriction in asthmatics: evidence of contribution of prostaglandins.

Look very closely at the "magic five" nutrient supplements.

1. Downregulate the inflammatory cytokines AND
2. Restore certain amino acids.

P.S. Ventolin works by *reducing serum K levels* which CONSERVES lysine.

I know that my LLMD does prescribe nebulized Glutathione for patients, although I am sorry to say that I do not know the dosing. Perhaps you can ask your Pharm?

Babs has my asthma flaring badly, so I use 5 asthma meds to try and control it. I nebulize Xopenex currently.

My pharm was terrific at helping me to come up with a plan for preventative and rescue.

PS, Miss BG was most likely referring to the fact that your post had sunk to page two. SO she was kind enough to bump it back up for answers. [Smile]

I know of another lymenetter with horrible babs who was helped greatly with air hunger by using nebulized glutathione.... Check with your doc about this and make sure if you have a history of any lung issues that it's not contraindicated for you....
