do you suggest adding adrographis, resveratrol, cat's claw, smilax, astralagus while taking abx or only if abx aren't enough?

Are you newly diagnosed? With which tick-borne infection?

If newly diagnosed with a fresh case, astragalus is okay. If chronic lyme, astragalus is not suggested.

What abx are you talking about and how much?

Do you have a LLMD?

Have you read all of Buhner's book?

Sorry to bounce back so many questions but it depends. Bottom line, yes, in some cases abx are combined with the total protocol.

Abx are never enough. Supportive herbs are vital. There are may ways to do this, however.

Have you gone to the web site for Buhner? You can ask these questions specifically on the board, or even to him. Still, I hope, especially if you are newly diagnosed, that you have a good LLMD or LL ND to be sure all the bases are covered for your particular case.

SB does actually encourage taking the 2 together in the case of Lyme, as he knows how awkward it is to treat.

I agree with Keebler in all points : SB answers questions on Planetthrive.com.

Be sure to build up doses as he describes in the book: you may even want to start the herbs one at a time so that you can tell easily if one of them doesn't agree with you.

Good luck,

Carry
