What I was planning to do was to take 50-100mg of minocycline in the morning and 200-300mg of doxycycline in the evening.

Are you guys aware of any contraindications to this? Would this be OK?

No one except a LLMD can nor SHOULD say.

Better call your doctor

Exactly. Only an ILADS LLMD should address this.

I wonder, though, why? Is it that you are getting some side effects from one but think the other is not strong enough?

If so, your doctor should be able to help with this. Usually, drugs from the same family are not mixed but, rather, drugs from different classifications are often combined.

why not just stick to one or the other - these are related medications - Minocycline is a modern relative of Doxy, so you are not getting an ABX combination effect, if that is what you are thinking (i.e. I take Doxy and Tindamax for the combo effect). I do not see any point in this combination. If you are trying to use up ABX, then use up one first, then switch to the other?

Beware of expiration dates on the "cyclines". These are not safe after they expire.

There is absolutely no reason to do so. One would pulse with a different class of drug, not the same.

Plus, one needs to have a certain blood concentration of any ABX to be assured of success...you will not get that if you use this protocol. In 15 years of treating Lyme I have never heard of this treatment.
