I did have this. It disapeared after about 3-4 months of treatment. My eyeballs would also
sometimes feel a strange vibrating sensation. I have babs as well, not sure if this is a symptom
of that or just the lyme? Best of luck.

Oh my gosh, I had this too, and I had never heard of anyone else having it.
It started off with staring at people. I just could not look away. I knew I made people uncomfortable and I wanted to stop, but I could not. It gave me the creeps. I would look right into their faces. I thought I was insane.
After a while that passed and I found my vision freezing on a face on the TV. I knew I was doing it, but I did not seem to have any control.
I remember talking to my therapist about this and telling her how extremely upset I was that I was doing it.
It went on for several months, but I began abx in April, 2009 and since then that horrible symptom has disappeared.

Yes, I get this occasionally, along with the floaters and inability to focus.
Sometimes I get visiual issues if I move my eyes, it's like everything gets blurry or starts spoinning if I move my eyes, so I resort to staring or moving my head instead of my eyes.
It's scary, unnerving, annoying....
I hope it gets better.

My "significant other" has been diagnosed with absence seizures, but they can find nothing on EEG. He had a motor vehicle accident in 1994 and now blame anything he has on that.
I am slowly beginning to wonder if he has LD and/or coinfections. They can find nothing wrong through MRI or EEG(he even wore an ambulatory EEG for 2 weeks recently).
One of his worst symptoms are these short(a couple secs to a min or so) episodes of staring or "spacing out". He is on so much medication, but it doesn't touch these.
I don't want to always "think LD", but so much doesn't add up. They keep increasing his dosages of some really scary meds and he still has symptoms.
He has also had trouble with anger issues in the past, although now he is so medicated that it takes alot to get him mad.
Didn't mean to stray from the topic, but wondered about these staring/spacing out episodes in him.

I forgot to add that alot of his symptoms were somewhat present before his accident and then became much worse after it.
