I seem to have all the callingc ards of s sanius infection but without the tellow/green mucous. I do not wish to take antibiotics and have treid every alternative thing I can think of.
Though theyhave discovrd most sinus infections to be fungal anyway, why bother.
But, I am sleeping most of the day away and am in pain.
ANy suggestions?

I've been having sinus issues lately too and the otc sinus meds don't help. Makes me dizzy at night....
I wonder if allergies are contributing to the problem...
I've decided to try the Neti pot. A lot of people swear by this. I'll let you know how it goes!

It's allergies alright. GA is in prime grass/wwed season.

Google grossan irrigator. It's similar to the Neti pot. I use warm saline with colloidal silver. I was at 10-12 advils a day for the pressure (swelling). After the irrigations I haven't had any sinus problems.
As for allergies MMS is a godsend. You can also do peroxide. I haven't tried it orally but IV peroxide works like a charm.

You could try GSE or Oil of Oreganol nasal sprays. I prefer the GSE spray but both have been effective for me in the past. Both are available at health food store or online at places like iherb.

For the sinus pressure you could take Sudafed and Mucinex. Together they will clean you out and relieve the pressure.
The GSE and Oil of Oregano mentioned in the above post will kill the fungus/bacteria/virus causing the infection.
You might also need an antihistamine if allergies triggered the inflammation in the first place. Check out "QBC Plex" by Solaray. Great combination for allergies. Or you could use OTC Zyrtec or Claritan.

When I started taking diflucan it helped my sinus infections. I haven't had one in 8 months.
I think that sinus infections are fungal.
I started taking the diflucan because I had systematic candida, in my blood and stool.

I use a neti pot with salt + bicarb + MgCl.
Mg is a great anti-inflammatory, bicarb is to reduce MgCl acidity.
This cleaned up my sinuses so well, I haven't needed to use it in months.

I agree with Need. LLMD said mucous can be related to fungal.
You could do an RX or take antifungal herbs in your regimen. And you still might need the decongestant sprays etc. for the allergies.
