You may remember me askingfor advice on my wife's (who was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago) blood tests. Well we had our follow up with Dr D in the UK and he diagnosed Lyme and put her on cefuroxime.
Looks like the long road begins.
Feel strangely happy, since with Lyme there is some hope of improvement unlike with MS.
Not getting my hopes up too much, but am cautiosly optomistic that we can at least stop the progress of symptoms.
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your advice and support!
Regards John

Hopefully she will take to the medicine and get better quickly.
It's a long road, but you two can do it.

John,
thanks for letting us know. I sometimes wonder how people do after they first post.
Best of luck to both of you. Take care, now and try to have some laughs along the way when you can.

John,
It's great that you and your wife are getting answers instead of just living with an illness like MS that has "no known cause".
I hope that she responds well to treatment and has much improvement.
All the best to you both.
Come back and post whenever you can.

I'm glad you and your wife got answers and can begin treatment. I pray she gets better soon. She is lucky to have such a caring husband.
I too am in the UK and am getting ready to see Dr. D in a few weeks.
I sent you a PM.
Good luck.

Glad to hear you've finally got some answers!
That's always been the hardest part for me in this journey, was the not knowing what you're dealing with.
So I hope your wife does well with the antibiotics and is soon on the raod to recovery.

John, I'm no medical professional, but did take what your wife is on for about a month or so right after my Dx. It did not help me that much as a solo treatment, but once my doc combined it with a macrolide and tindamax, things began to turn around for the good. It was a good combo for me. Just FYI.
